How about you write the story, insert a note to remind you, then go back. Also, houses and scenery only really need to be described if they impact the story. If it's just filler, then it's not only not important, but is possibly a distraction. If the location is important, treat it like a character and give it personality. If it's not, then content yourself with description within the story. For example, if the vilain of the piece is a winter location with a terrific storm, make it malevolent. If it's a meeting between two characters where the dialogue is important, tell the reader about the bits that are important - the words missed because the music was too loud, or the smell of drains in a French street, or the steam burst of the espresso machine drowning out the customers' voices, or the wallpaper in the bedroom peeling in the corner or. . .
