I own a car in the springs and currently have the standard issue license plates on my car. However, I have an all-black performance car and was wondering if I could turn in my current plates and get new black plates instead of the standard green and white, as they would match my car much better. Does anybody know whether I can replace my current plates with the black plates Colorado offers, even though my current plates aren't damaged or lost?
TLDR: Can I get a different color plate just because I want to?
What is the deal with the black CO plates? I don't understand the appeal. Why do people choose a generic black plate that doesn't even suggest its from CO unless you really look for it? I don't get it.
Hi. Finally traded in the old Kia and bought a new Subaru. Got the card in the mail that i could register it and to do it online. Went to the dmv website, found the “first time registration“ link, filled everything out, paid the six hundred some odd dollars, and it said the new plates would come USPS. I didn’t know you could get new plates by mail, always had to go get them in person before. Well, it’s been nearly a month, and nothing. I called to check the status, and they said it had been sent November 22nd. Has anyone had to wait this long for delivery? Anyone got new plates online before? Wondering if I need to go in and talk to someone or give it a few more days. Just worried they got misdelivered and someone is doing something sketchy with my plates.Thanks.
