June 9, 2022 - Keep working your way around the seat, pulling the fabric tight and stapling. Pull corners especially smooth, even if that means you have a bunch of excess fabric a few inches from the edge.

August 26, 2025 - Finish reupholstering the chair ... reupholstering a chair with rounded corners, you may need to make multiple pleats on each corner for a flat, smooth finish....

It looks like I’m not the only one who may have a trip to a lumberyard in her future. That’ll be ‘fun’ – trying to turn chairs upside-down and try to trace the right size circles, so they neither fall through nor sit too high above the the iron circle.

As the graphic below indicates - imagine a 45 degree line (green line) to guide how far to take the staples on each side. Keep the fabric taught and move from one side towards the rounded - corner. I found it necessary as I got towards the corner to have the staples closer together.

July 28, 2022 - All of the reupholstery diy videos I've seen involve adding batting and fabric over a flat seat and stretching it tightly before securing it with staples on the underside. Stretching anything tight over the curves of this seat would create a kind of "tent" effect with the fabric being 100% level to the highest points of the pieces I'm covering, but the curve is the only thing about these chairs that I actually like lol.

June 2, 2014 - Staple toward the center of each rounded corner, pinching and pulling tightly to establish a pattern of folds on both sides of the rounded corner's center. Create a fold -- or ear -- at each rounded corner's center, stapling it tightly.

April 25, 2024 - Upholstering the corners requires patience and attention to detail. To tackle a rounded corner, first, pull the fabric taut over the corner and staple it once directly in the middle of the corner to hold it in place.

If I did the horizontal tight it wouldn't follow the contour of the seat back, right? And should I do weave the webbing? Always weave webbing ... October 18, 2023 - You want to be sure to pull and lay the corner as flat as possible and then staple it along an imaginary 45 degree line from the tip of the corner in toward the middle of the seat – where the two sides meet together.
