Hey fellow creators,
I've been diving deep into keyword research lately and realized something surprising: many of the keyword tools out there base their data on Google search volume, which doesn't translate well to YouTube. From what I’ve learned, Google doesn’t provide YouTube-specific search volume data at all!
This got me wondering, how do you all approach keyword research for your channels? Do you rely on these tools, or have you found other strategies that work better for finding keywords that actually resonate on YouTube?
Would love to hear about your experiences and any tips you have!
Better keyword planner options for YouTube ads
For YouTube ads you’ll want to use the Reach Planner rather than keyword planner. The Reach Planner will help project reach, views and conversions based YouTube campaigns. More on reddit.com

But the client is wanting to push YouTube ads - so would that mean Top of page bid pricing won't affect this client? Does Google Keyword Planner have an option to view bidding based on if it's a PPC or Video ad?
