Why use one over the other? Or both the same?
As the titles summs, which of those is the best for temps monitoring? Have used HWinfo before clean installing W10 and cleaning CMOS (had a bunch of errors because a I switched from 1600 AF + B450M DS3H to 5600X + B550-F Gaming (Wi-Fi), and the software always showed my clocks as 4.6GHx ot 3.2GHz, so I gave it up, but I don't really know if it was a bug from the hardware switch, so I'm asking here now, which one is better? Will not use Ryzen Master, MSI Afterburner or lowkeys software, I rather stick with one of those.
On my system I initially installed HWMonitor, and experienced lots of hard lock ups which I had to then restart my computer. This would happen every 1-5 hours.
In short, I was using HWMonitor to monitor any bizarre temps, clocks, etc... and nothing. Turns out the common denominator was HWMonitor, and I stopped using it and the lock ups went away.
Using HWiNFO64 now and nothing since.
I use hwinfo64 on my r5 5600x. I used it on my r5 1600 before and it always reports correct and more than enough.

Hi idk why my cores has idle temperature displaiyed of 75°, I’m literally not using the pc, but in hwmonitor it displays a normal temp of 30°… What to do?

I'm trying to figure out if there is something wrong with my computer or if it's just a software issue. I started noticing high idle cpu temps in my watercooled build. I'll explain as detailed as possible.
First some info about my build:
cpu: 5950x (not oc'd)
Mb: Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Formula (which is also watercooled)
Gpu: 2 x MSI 24GB D6X RTX 3090 Suprim X 24G
gpu waterblock: EK Quan.Vec Trio RTX 80/90 D−RGB Ni+Ac
cpu waterblock: EK Quantum Velocity D-RGB AMD - Ni+Pl
radiator 1: CORSAIR Radiator XR5 420
radiator 2: CORSAIR Radiator XR7 480
radiator fans: 4 x Noctua NF-F12 PWM 120x120x25
radiator fans: 3 x Noctua NF-A14 PWM 140x140x25
pump: EK Quantum Kinetic TBE200 D5 PWM D-RGB
Liquid: CORSAIR Liquid XL5 1L Premix
If I set my bios to speed up the fans based on the watertemperature then I'm noticing high cpu temps while idle (around 70-80°C). Now I have set my bios to default, all settings standard so now it ramps up a lot more (because it's based on the cpu temp) but the temps are better now.
idle (at 25°C ambient temp):
CPU (hw monitor): 65-75°C
cpu (Tctl/Tdie) (HW Info): 65°C
cpu die (average): 58°C
CPU CCD1(Tdie): 72°C
CPU CCD2(Tdie): 43°C
water temp: 37°C according to Armoury crate
To me these temps are still a bit high for being idle (for standard profiles which are already a bit loud).
My questions:
Isn't it weird that I cant set my bios settings to the silent mode without high idle temps, I really wanted a silent build, hence the overkill on rads.
I just ordered the aquacomputer octo. Will I have the same problem when I want to regulate the fans and pump based on the water temp?

Flow goes from pump - cpu - rad 1 - motherboard - gpu 1 - gpu 2 -radiator 2 - back to the pump

Want to make sure I have the best readings to make sure all is well on my temps. Which one is more reliable?
Just finished my first build, and now I want to monitor temps and check if everything is running fine. What are the programs that everyone uses to check temps, see how the CPU/GPU are doing, speeds of ram/SSD/HDD etc.?
Monitor: HWinfo64 and MSI AfterBurner
Test: Unigine Valley and GPUtool for GPU, Prime95 and IntelBurnTest for CPU and Memtest from HCI for the RAM
Monitoring: CPUID HWMonitor or OpenHardwareMonitor. These will show you temps for all your parts, and fan speeds (not to control, just monitor). They also show voltages. OpenHardware has more information, like % utilization and clock speed as well.
Running an i9-14900k at stock, stress testing Prime95, HWMonitor is showing the max p-core temp hit 100C, but HWiNFO64 is showing the max p-core temp hit 87C. What's the deal here? 13C difference?? Is one of these monitoring tools broken?
AIDA 64 is probably the closest, but I'm about to run out of trial time and don't want to pay $50 for it when I won't use it after I get my OC dialed in, and I'm mostly interested in the monitoring aspect.

HWMonitor has all the specs I could want , but only shows current, and max/min. Without an average the data isn't that helpful.

Intel Extreme Tuning Utility is nice, but shows few pertinent spec
I've tried several others that don't show all the specs, like temps, frequencies, load, voltages, etc., for both CPU and GPU. And many are only real time monitoring.

Which is better, and provides more info. I've also heard AIDA64 gives info, but I can find so little sensors compared to these 2. Anyone know where I can find them on AIDA64?
Or would you recommend a different program altogether? Please provide an explanation so I know why you're recommending one software over the other.
I just upgraded to a Legion Pro 7i (Gen 8), but I used to use a HP Omen 15, so I'm used to monitoring temperature through the Omen Command Center.
i have been using hwmonitor pro, but now you have pay for a licence and cant afford it, anyway is there a free software that can monitor temperatures?
