I was gifted an older iPad back in June to assist my stepdaughter with communicating via a digital communication board (autistic non-verbal).
Unfortunately, the iPad could not update to a new enough iOS to use the communication board app so the idea was scrapped and it has been sitting ever since.
I have recently been toying around with the idea of using this iPad with Fully-Kiosk as a dashboard for my home assistant hub for guest use and quick info, but I cannot remember the PIN or the iCloud password. The recovery phone number is my personal cell phone, but it doesn't give me a way to just send myself a reset - only the option to type the password in OR enter the PIN, even after I verify the email used and the phone number.
Not a huge crazy deal as the iPad was free from a previous employer when upgrading their hardware, but if I don't have to buy new hardware for a dash, that would be ideal.
Any ideas, or am I SOL?

Also, when you say pin are you referring to the passcode to get past the Lock Screen? You can reset the device to get past that but you still need the iCloud account password as well. See my other post for how to deal with that. Forgot iPad passcode https://support.apple.com/119858
