So I’m trying to change my password for my Apple ID on my IPhone 14.

I go into settings, click on my Apple account, and hit Security & Sign In. Then under security I hit Change password.

The Face ID pops up and gives me the check mark.

Then that’s it…nothing happens. What am I missing?

EDIT: I got it working, turns out I had to reset my Face ID and redo it.

So my dad somehow created an Apple ID linked to an iCloud email address. He can’t remember it. Or doesn’t know it. The only way to reset it (aside from answering the security questions that he doesn’t know the answers to)? Send a password reset to the email associated with it. That’s all fine and dandy UNLESS the email account is an iCloud email account. That you can’t get into because you don’t know the password. So now he’s got a pop-up every 6 or so seconds asking for his Apple ID password. The best part is I can’t just wipe the phone and start all over again with a new Apple ID that we can set up properly because I can’t turn off find my iPhone. It’ll be a paperweight.
