You always need wall plugs when trying to fix something to concrete/brick. You could get some on amazon but honestly just go to the hardware store. You don‘t need crazy strong ones since their only purpose is to stop the shelf from tipping forward, but get some decent size ones. More on reddit.com

I just picked up a Brusali, and I'm planning to increase it's overall height. I'm currently exploring two options. Forego installing the supplied feet and mount it directly on the wall. I will be placing a plywood cleat on the wall, and then hanging the Brusali off the cleat. The cleat will be screwed into studs for strength. The top rear cross beam of the Brusali will sit on top of the cleat. The provided wall mounting hole will either be used with wall anchors, or ignored and new wall mounting holes will be added that align with the studs. Construct custom legs out of plywood, finish them, and then attach them to the Brusali. I'm heavily leaning towards option 1 since it will allow me to put a boot tray below the Brusali. Wet shoes can then sit under the cabinet until they are dry rather than be put away wet and damage the particle board structure. As I'm typing, I've had an idea. In pursuit of option one, I may replace the top rear cross beam with a piece of plywood with a french cleat cut on the bottom edge. This will be stronger than the original chipboard construction and make the wall attachment stronger and easier to work with during install. More on reddit.com
