(ps I AM SO HAPPY TO FINALLY HAVE A PLACE FOR ARLOS BACKPACK TO TUCK AWAY) i also knew i wanted to do hooks above the bench for jackets and hats – i was sad to lose the mirror in the entryway but i knew the storage was more important.

Hi, I have a 1400 wide by 70 deep coats and shoes alcove in my entry hallway and thinking of ways to easily put together some storage.
I am looking to make something like in the first picture. (Even though this looks like CAD, it was actually done on my iPhone!).
I am thinking to use 2x nordli for the bench with a worktop cut to size and placed on top, and a Metod kitchen unit beside it. I would add panelling and a light on the wall above the bench and then a cushion for seating. What do you guys think? Would the nordli be strong enough and the right height for a seat?
Any other considerations? I will update..

How about Besta and Pax? They work quite well together and you can get a mirrored door in there as well or something like that.

My only other thing to add is I’m wondering if the 54cm high Nordli is too high for a little bench, and if there are alternatives I can use for drawers or storage underneath? I did think Kallax maybe…
