I tried to make my ikea pax wardrobe look ‘built in-ish’ and now I’ve realised I’m a massive idiot - help!
PAX quality
PAX wardrobe plinth height?
IKEA PAX Wardrobe with 3 sliding doors
As the other person stated, it’s not possible with that dimension. Easiest would be to have one be no door/open storage or have them all be hinged doors

As you can see from the image I tried to make it look as smart as possible by chopping away the skirting to slide the main frame in, and now I’ve come to attach the doors I’ve realised that the edge of the door needs to sit flush to the wall as well lol! Can’t believe how thick I am - the only way around this that I can see is to cut a slither out of the skirting board to allow for the door but then theres just going to be a big gap in the skirting board which is going to look atrocious and I am going to have to look my own stupidity squarely in the eye every time I want to get dressed for the day! Is there any way I can rectify this even slightly?
Also fucked up the hole trying to attach the door but that is currently the least of my worries atm.
Just a quick rant after building a PAX wardrobe.
The quality of the parts it’s absolutely awful for the price you pay and I will definitely never buy one again. Even fully built with shelves and hanging rails they feel flimsy and unsafe.
If anyone is thinking of getting them as anything other than quick makeshift storage, I would advise against it.
Rant over!
