Just looking for opinions this is the first ipad I will own and also wondering if there are any retailers that sell the product that are likely to put it on sale because ive seen refurbished options for it but not really sure if they are reputable

Rocking my M1 iPad Pro 11" since 2022 summer. As far as iPadOS goes (it goes nowhere) it will be fine for the next couple of years.

As a couple of others have suggested, it’s still a very good machine. I’m using a M1 Pro 11”; picked it up October 2022, and it still does exactly what I need. I’ll no doubt upgrade at some point but it hasn’t even occurred to me to do so yet. Runs iPadOS 18 smoothly, and it’ll handle another few annual updates. Caveat re storage: If either you’re not planning on storing a hundred Gb or so of video or other files on your device, or you’re happy to carry around a fast USB Pen Drive to transfer files to and fro, then 128Gb will be fine, genuinely. If, on the other hand, you think you might need the extra storage, go for 256Gb. My personal view is that Parkinson’s Law of Data Storage applies: Data expands to fit the storage available. If you’ve got the space, you’ll find a way of using it. I’ve had 256Gb for my last two iPad Pros and always have about 30Gb to 40Gb free. I’m sure that if my next one was 512Gb, I’d soon be carrying around at least 400Gb of date.

I just got one used for 550 CAD (390 USD). Battery life is good -checked with coconut battery- and although its not perfectly accurate we had to youtube some stuff cuz the had issues logging out of icloud. We were doing that for about an hour and it dropped only a few percents. Oh also, i got a gen 2 pencil with is as well as a basic magnetic ESR case.
