I’d call the jump from second to third gen significant as iPads went from a mobile phone processor to a computer processor. 3rd gen to 4th gen is pretty incremental. Based on your list and needs it sounds like that maybe your best option as well. More on reddit.com

120hz is worth more than $110 for me. Mandatory feature if u scroll alot and as i can see you do. I bought M2 iPad pro 2 days ago and i have no regrets whatsoever. 120hz with IOS animations is super fluid, face id is super usefull and quad speakers are amazing. The only thing this tablet lacks (from hardware perspective) is OLED, better selfie camera placement and maybe faster charging. Gen 5 gonna have OLED, but the price increase is just to big... But putting that aside iPad pro is amazing device anyway and will be for years. More on reddit.com

I'm looking to purchase a new iPad pro for university, gaming, and art. I need it to take notes, hold textbooks, create art on procreate, and play some games like Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, and Wild Rift (large sized games).
I'm deciding between refurbished iPad models, and they have the 2nd gen with 512 GB, and 3rd Gen with 256 Gb around the same price. Then the store has the 4th Gen for the base 128 GB, and I just wanna know, is there a substantial difference between each gen of iPad. I don't want to but the 2ng gen for the storage and then it become outdated or lack any power. IYO what's the best value for the price.
Bonus question to anyone who has the 12.9, do you find that it is too large and tedious to take places. I take my current iPad EVERYWHERE and use it everyday, so I want one that can last, has good storage and power, and is comfortable to take places. Any and all help is appreciated, thanks guys!! :D
(I'm also purchasing the apple pencil and not any keyboard in case that affects anything)

I'm rocking an m1 iPad Pro 11". Got it at launch-ish. It's still way more powerful than I'll ever need it to be and the battery life is still insanely good. I don't have any desire to upgrade any time soon.
