Title. I havent heard of them before, only cc. Are they a big company? Trust worthy?
This might not be the right location but I'm about to purchase 3 monitors from them using their Uber price beat to get the best price
As I discuss with someone from their contact service, I'm beginning to this this site is very fishy.
The monitors I am interested in costs exactly $1000.00 with taxes and 5 dollar shipping included.
The price I will get for 3 monitors using the uber price match is 894.86 (roughly)
The guy says my credit card will instantly be charged 1000 of course but it will take "3-5 business days" after I send him the e-invoice to receive the price beat.
What do you guys think about this? Im extremely nervous as I haven't heard to much about them and I've never purchased from them.
Edit: Words
MemEx? Definitely my favorite company in Canada. I've had better luck with them than NCIX, though I'm fortunate to have physical MemEx locations. I've used their price beats, online and offline, and never had problems.
I've ordered a CPU as well as a heatsink from them. My brother purchased two video cards from them two years ago.
Unless they changed their price-beat policies, I'm pretty sure the PB process is subject to approval and then you're only charged the PB amount, not the full retail price and then some refund or whatever.
So I'm planning on building a new rig, old one is starting to crap out on newer titles (mainly Black Ops 6). In doing research for where to buy however, I've been seeing a LOT of posts about how shit Canada Computers is; and apparently always have been. Is MemoryExpress the better option for buying a pre-built GAMING PC?
I'm not the most technologically inclined person, and when issues start arising I honestly get pretty overwhelmed in all of the troubleshooting. Canada Computers has only ever exacerbated that issue so if I can't avoid them than so be it, but I'd really like that to be a last resort.
Well, basically, my 5 yrs old laptop had some problem with its mother board, so I need a new computer.
A legion 5 with 3060 will be sufficient enough :D However, the price of Lenovo laptops are incredibly high on Best Buy’s, so I have to search for an alternate approach.
Just today, I came across a store called memory express, they seems to be having a few Legions for much cheaper price Should I trust it?
I have heard some bad rumors about its return policy, but the online reviews on google is suggesting the opposite......
ETA thank you everyone for your feedback I feel so much better! I had heard so many good things about them and just let people get in my head, I overthink things too much. Will be going to memex to buy my pc once I have the build nailed down :)
I am looking to get a PC built and I got a quote from memory express I thought it was a good price and setup, but I decided to ask some other people for advice since I’m not super knowledgeable about pcs yet. They said the build was expensive for what it was and the salesperson was most likely just trying to get easy commission? They sent me a build (which was more than what memory express gave me LOL) but like… everything I’ve heard is they’re really good so I’m just confused now 😭
i saw some very bad review on a website that where about memory express saying that theyre got scam but im not sure so i want to know about the opinion on people here
I know out west they have those legendary Microcentres which look amazing but I believe this is the closest version we will get to it till they come out here.
I have never dealt with them before and i want to buy that hyperx ducky keyboard, do you guys think i should buy it from them or buy it from someone else
I'm an absolutely newbie at building a PC, and I found that Memory Express offer a custom-built PC configuration and I can pay for it to be built by them. Is Memory Express a reliable place to shop at?
not sure if all me locations are like this.
I know nothing about computers. the customizable world of what you can do to a pc is very foreign to me.
this past week, I walked into the me on 34th ave just wanting to know where to start, what's best, budget, etc.
the staff were so friendly, non judgmental, explained to me in ways I can understand, and most importantly. was not pressured to buy on the spot.
I was blown away by their knowledge and understanding.. be back to build a setup
thank you to the great staff!
I'm planning to buy a prebuilt MSI Aegis R, 14700F, 4070 Ti Super, 2TB SSD from Memory Express online.
I have primarily been a Macbook Pro user so this would be my first PC in several years, and I figure I can learn on the go about parts and upgrading. Learning from scratch about PCs. I would be too overwhelmed trying to build it from scratch, I did look into the option. Use of the Pc is mostly gaming and some digital drawing /editing work.
I would probably upgrade the PSU and add another harddrive at some point, and then see.
My question is this - should I pay for IPR replacement plan?
Pros - peace of mind, taking a cab to the store is probably less than the cost of shipping to MSI.
Cons - Cost! And what if I want to replace some of the parts before my IPR time is up and then they don't cover repairs on the entire desktop after that?
Am I overlooking something obvious? Is there a middle ground like getting 3 years of IPR instead of 4?
Cost of the IPR is
$310 for 2 yrs (plus 13% tax)
$465 for 3 years (plus 13% tax)
Or $558 for 4 years (plus 13% tax)
Thank you!
Why does it seem like the 5090 stock is so much better for Canada Computers? If you live near one of the CC stores and are paying attention to the discord, it seems like there shouldn’t be much problem with grabbing a 5090. This does not seem to be the case with memory express, my local store has only received 2 5090’s since launch day.
I'm trying to grab an Asus tuf x570 pro and I don't want to order from sketchy 3rd party sellers on amazon, or deal with newegg. Can I trust Memory Express to ship the product that's actually ordered in the condition ordered? Which seems to be a high risk with the 3rd party sellers on amazon
I agonized over it for a long time and decided to roll the dice. I’m worried that GPUs are going to get insane too.
The Memory Express pre-builts are not a bad deal. The guy said that they built them before RAM jumped. If I had gone that direction then they would have given me a $175 gift card. Since I already have a windows license from my previous machine I saved a bit there, and I love building computers.
Hello first time I will be going to send and repair my PC or upgrade I was wondering how's their service especially including changing parts. How's their price?
Just looking to get a decent built PC and comparing these two ME built ones. Are they decently priced and is it the extra 200$ worth? Is there is anything you would replace? Maybe 16Gbit more RAM.
I took a look at the individual parts and look like they do ~10% mark-up, which is very acceptable.

Hi, I'm looking to build a high end pc. The option of ordering the parts from Memory Express and having them assemble seems to be one of the best I can find. I get full customizability of the parts I pick, and they put it together. It's a win/win compared to buying from most SIs who only offer certain parts. They also only charge 200$ for premium/priority build, which isn't that much extra. Does anyone have experience with Memory Express?
Also I would like suggestions for my build. I'm a little bit over my budget of 6k$ before tax. Excluding the assembly cost I'm at 6120$. Thanks in advance!
