Where can I download JavaFX 11 or 17, or how do I get 18 to work on IntelliJ?

gluonhq.com/products/javafx/ There's drop down lists where you can select the JavaFX version, OS, architecture, and type. JavaFX 11.0.16 SDK and javadocs are available there. As an alternative you could use the full Liberica JDK which includes JavaFX. Versions 8, 11, 17, and 18 are available there. I personally kinda prefer this because JavaFX is integrated right into the full version package. More on reddit.com

I installed the latest version of java, but when I type "java --version" on terminal it shows the old one.

The most likely reason this shows up in your terminal is because your old Java version is in the PATH environment variable. Irrespective of your OS, make sure you add the path to the new java installation to your PATH environment variable, and that this new version comes earlier in your PATH variable than the older java installation. The best practice in adding java path to the environment variable is to make a new environment variable called JAVA_HOME and then using that in the PATH environment variable or any other environment variables where you need java. ERROR: Java Runtime Environment The 64-bit Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 17 is not installed on this computer, or it is not supported, or its detection was not possible. The minimum required Java version is Oracle JDK 17.0.7 / IBM Semeru Runtime 17.0.7, but it is recommended to install the latest Update of Java 17. To download and install the JRE 17, go to https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/downloads/#java17 or https://developer.ibm.com/languages/java/semeru-runtimes/downloads/ . It is strongly recommended to use Java installation path independent from the Java level. Once done, click OK to auto-detect the Java path. I have been tryign to find out how to download and use java 17 for prism but its seems to be IMPOSSIBLE since ive been looking at guides for an hour now and they all seem to be downloading java 17 But when i try to download it with those guides the java 17 des not end up where my java 8s witch prism detects is. C:/Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Oracle/Java/javapath And i have no idea how do put java 17 i download into javapath since it does nto do it automatically.
