I'm pretty sure this mouse doesn't have mechanical switches (no official info on that yet, unfortunately), but the article mentions Keychron will release the 3d files for this little guy so people can customize it to their liking.
I'm interested in this, especially since I switched to a southpaw 98% keyboard mainly so I wouldn't have to take my hand off my mouse for work. The Nape Pro may have me busting out my regular 98% boards again if my hands can stay put where they are at all times.
Edit: The article says the mouse uses mechanical micro switches (thanks u/Scatterthought).
I've seen Keychron keyboards and while they seem like great fun, I have noticed that there are a lot of complaints about theit quality control, Bluetooth reliability, bad USB-C port and so on.
Are they still worth it? If yes, then how should I buy in order to minimize the risk of having issues?
Hey folks,
A couple of days ago, I finally got my first mechanical HE keyboard from Keychron after diving deep into Reddit threads, Google searches, and YouTube reviews. I’ll be honest—I was a bit hesitant at first because of the mixed feedback, especially regarding customer support and random issues with Keychron products. That’s exactly why I grabbed mine from Amazon during a solid discount, just for that extra peace of mind when it comes to customer support or generous return policy.
The keyboard arrived right on time, nicely packaged, and fully sealed. Huge relief when I confirmed all the accessories were there and the board was in perfect condition. The build quality feels surprisingly premium for the price, and the typing experience is satisfyingly thocky without putting much strain on my fingers—though I’ll know for sure after a bit more use. Visually, it nails that clean, professional look I was hoping for.
I’m currently using it via the 2.4 GHz wireless dongle, and so far, the connection has been rock-solid—no latency or missed key presses. I even snapped a few pictures of my desk setup. For context, I’m not a gamer; this keyboard is going to be my 9-to-5 workhorse for engineering tasks, CAD work, emails, and reports.
Just wanted to share my first impressions. Would love to hear your tips or thoughts if you’ve spent some time with this board!
