Re "Does it go into standby to save battery?": It turns off the RGB light after 10 minutes I am not sure if it really is standby. There is a claim of (real) standby after 2 hours, but I have not been able to confirm it so far (e.g., I haven't found any indication of it in the source code). Re "How long until it reconnects?": It depends. Even in Bluetooth mode, it is possible to have it near instant (about 0.2 seconds), without ever missing the first keystroke (not separate wake up step required), but it depends on the host (computer) side setup. The wrong Bluetooth setup is really terrible (I have been there). I have such a perfect Bluetooth setup, and for the reason of never missing a keystroke on wakeup, I have decreased the sleep time from 10 minutes to 30 seconds to save on the battery. I don't ever have to think about whether the keyboard is sleeping or not. But it requires changing the firmare . '2.4 GHz ' mode is probably more reliable. More on reddit.com

Keychron Launcher is a fork of VIA. The only mechanism it has for communicating between the app and the QMK firmware in the keyboard is the VIA protocol. Some of Keychron's boards are based on ZMK which has its own configuration protocol, but the same released board isn't going to have both ZMK and QMK firmware. More on reddit.com

It contains: "The K0 Max is currently compatible with Gateron/Keychron low-profile mechanical switches only, as QMK does NOT support low-profile optical switches." What!? It is always possible to override the default QMK keyboard matrix scanning. For example, Keychron has done it in the K Pro series (two 74HC595 helper chips, acting like a demultiplexer for the keyboard matrix column scan, saving on the number of I/O pins on the microncontroller), overriding matrix_scan_custom : "QMK provides a mechanism to supplement or replace the default matrix scanning routine with your own code. The reasons to use this feature include: Extra hardware between the keyboard's switches and MCU pins"

Keychron K0 Max is an ultra-slim QMK wireless custom number pad. It supports 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, and a wired connection. And it features LSA (low profile spherical-angled) profile keycaps. You can master any keys or macro commands on it through Keychron Launcher web app.
The price it's too absurd to justify but otherwise it's at the top of my wish list.
An ali express version came out this week but very low double digit purchases so far.
I own the GMK26 numpad as a companion for all my Low profile 75% boards but the height adjustment is annoying, it's perfectly manageable but just not seamless.
I look forward to eventually getting this.

Hey!
I am debating between going for a full size Q6 Max keyboard, or a 80% TKL Q3 Max keyboard with the Q0 Max as numpad.
The Q0 Max gives a lot of flexibility w/ regards to desk setup. And the macros can enhance my productivity. But I do have some questions regarding the usability of the Q0 (Max) with a wireless keyboard next it:
What is the battery life like? Is it longer compared to the keyboard, considering you use it less?
Does it go into standby to save battery? How long until it reconnects?
Do you use two dongles with it? One for the keyboard, one for the numpad? It is not a major hassle for me, as my computer has enough USB ports. But it is something the reviews I watched did not discuss.
How much of an issue is it if both the keyboard and the numpad need to be recharged? Do you always keep two cables ready? Or does this not really occur, and do you just use one cable for both?
Background info:
After using my trusty 5 euro membrane keyboard for the past 12 years, I am looking into a wireless keyboard to minimalize my desk setup. I figured out, why not go for a mechanical keyboard at the same time! My main uses are for productivity: mostly programming and just regular text input. I figured the brown switches are ideal for this.
Price is less of an issue, as I have the budget for it and I want to get the best usable set-up, considering I intend to use this as my only desk set-up for at least another 12 years (but likely much more). I am not a mechanical keyboards enthusiast, so I would not buy more boards for my desk set-up. I might swap out the keycaps and/or switches at some point though (I mean, it is hotswappable, so why not?).

1: I usually have it plugged in all the time. But the times I have left it unplugged for days at a time it hasn't died. 2: It does turn off the LEDs and go into standby. Wakeup is pretty much instant. 3: You do need two receivers at this time. I use a small USB 2 hub for my 2.4Ghz receivers. 4: As I said above I keep mine plugged in directly most of the time. But charging is very fast. I was using it with a Q1 Max but recently switched to a Wooting 80HE. But I don't think I ever had to charge them at the same time when I was using them together.
