What’s the best console/stand option for a 98 inch tv?
Media console with vertical storage?
Anyone recommend a tv stand/media console for good cable management?
What do people store in their media consoles?
How does the number of shelves on a TV stand affect my organization?
How do I choose the right size TV stand for my TV?
Choosing the right size TV stand involves considering your TV's size and the stand's dimensions. Ideally, the stand should be at least as wide as your TV to provide stable support. For example, if you have a 65-inch TV, look for a stand that accommodates TVs up to 65 inches or more. Also, check the stand's height to ensure comfortable viewing—typically, the center of the screen should be at eye level when seated. Additionally, consider extra space for devices like gaming consoles or soundbars, and ensure the stand has adjustable shelves or cabinets for organized storage.
What should I look for in a TV stand for a small living room?
In a small living room, space-saving and multifunctional TV stands are ideal. Look for compact designs with vertical storage options like shelves or cabinets to maximize storage without taking up much floor space. Consider stands with adjustable shelves to fit various devices and d√cor items. Light-colored finishes or glass elements can help the stand feel less bulky. Also, check the stand's height to ensure it fits well with your seating arrangement. Choosing a stand with built-in features like power outlets or LED lighting can add convenience without extra clutter.

I’m thinking of buying a 98 inch TCL S5 for my 15.5 ft by 11 ft media room.
I’ll set up the sofa in the back of the room, so the seating will be something like 13 feet from the screen.
I’ve looked at some of the recommended consoles like BDI corridor and Furnitech, and I think those are 82 inches long.
A 98 inch TV is about 86 inches wide so it would overhang the console by a few inches.
Would that be a major problem? I plan to wall mount the TV.
Is having a huge TV on the wall that overhangs the console a big no no? Is there a consensus that it looks terrible and something I should avoid? Or any other practical reason to avoid this?
The other option is to get a larger console like this 97 inch one I saw on Wayfair. Would that be a better choice ? It's a cheaper stand, maybe not the same quality, but it will be longer than the TV.
