I've got a C615 right now and thinking about making the upgrade to the C920 or the C930e because I want the wider FOV, 1080p at 30fps and the onboard encoder. I've been checking out reviews for both but most people say that the C930e is not worth the extra price but here in Canada a C920 is $130 CAD at BestBuy and a C930e is only $10 more at $140 if I use BestBuy's price matching policy.
Other considerations:

Is the C920 is even enough of an upgrade over the C615 to bother with the upgrade?

I've heard that the software/firmware for the C930e is bad or non-existent and that it really limits the options you have with it. Is that true?
I'm using it to stream room scale virtual reality ("mixed reality") game play in a green room so it's more for capturing a room than it is for capturing 'talking head' type video, if that makes a difference.
the 920 is more or less a gold standard it seems for folks streaming these days. I hear way too many people cite their use of it.
Ive seen the 930 in action and it in deed has a wider field of view and to me looked just as good as the 920.
I personally used the 920 for a while and never had problems with it.
I use the c930e. While it is an amazing webcam with its resolution and its angle of view it has its flaws. It has no software that you can use for it, you're basically gonna have to use the webcam settings in OBS/XSplit. The firmware won't do you any good.
The "e" in the name is for enterprise. It's designed with companies in mind to use for things like video conferences and such. Then again, it is a really good webcam but as others have pointed out, the c920 might give you a better streaming webcam depending on what you're after.
The wide angle the c930e provides is overkill in my opinion unless you're planning to stream yourself cooking/baking in the kitchen or if you're planning to stream some couch co-op games. My webcam managed to cover my entire kitchen in the same shot with no problems.
So what I am going to say is that it's up to you. the c930e is a really good webcam. BUT, if you're hesitating over if it's worth getting the c930e instead of the c920, just go for the c920. You can't go wrong with it. It's pretty much what everyone uses and it's for a reason, it's a really good webcam. It's better to buy what you know it's good than trying something else and then end up being disappointed and regretting yourself. Go the safe route.

Am planning to buy webcam today since I realize that webcam is so much powerful to twitch if that person have a lot reaction or emotion. So help me choose between Logitech c920 or c930e . I did not include c922 because it almost the same as c920. Thank for sharing guys

I understand they're both pretty similar models and it's not really much of an "upgrade" but I was intrigued by the higher FOV on the C930, as that can let me show both my keyboard and face without dual cams, which is a hassle to set up. But it just seems SO much worse than my c930.
The exposure is automatic, and I have to have my studio lights in just the right spot to look good and not blow-out my face. Unless I'm missing something, it's not like the C920 where you get the list of options for white balance, exposure, gain, etc. It does it all automatically. Not to mention the colors look washed out and... pastel-y.
Again, maybe I'm missing something, but I just use my C920 since it really looks better. Is there some program I'm missing to set the camera settings? If not, is the C900 series the best webcams I can get before moving to camcorders?
I’m looking to buy the c930e webcam and see one Logitech branded c930e and one logi c930e. Is there any difference between the two ?
Also some pictures show the front saying carl zeiss optics while others don’t show that branding. Additionally the website etc has no mention of Carl zeiss optics. So I’m wondering do these cameras have Carl zeiss optics or not ? Maybe the older versions had it and newer dont?
I’ve been thinking of getting a new webcam because mine’s old and I don’t really like the quality (microsoft lifecam 3000 i think is what it is) and i’ve been debating on getting a new one but Idk if I should get the Logitech c930e or the Brio. I know there’s a price difference but I don’t really mind. Do you guys have any other suggestions or opinions?
I am currently looking for a used webcam, I see that a C930e is going for like $15 good condition and a similar condition C920 is going for like $25, should I pay extra for the C920 or just get the c930?
So I'm looking to buy a second webcam for my twitch stream. I've been using the El cheapo c270 for a year now and it's been good to me for the most part. I'll probably still be using the 270 as a secondary cam for art streams but I think it's time to upgrade.
I've been doing research all morning and I think it's down to either the Logitech c930e or the c922x. Both are available on Amazon right now for roughly the same price. I know the c920 is/was the gold standard I'm just wondering if anyone out there has an opinion between the two.

I'm not sure how much i should spend but my budget is £50 to £100. Would Logitech C920 HD Pro USB be a good choice? I want to stream regularly.

Depends on what you are going for... The c922 can do 1080p60, while the c920 can only do 1080p30. Chances are though, you are streaming at 720p60; so there is no need for you to have 1080p60. That is really the only difference between the two cameras. Both cameras have a 72 degree viewing angle.
Another option you have is the c930e. Like the c920, it can only do 1080p30, but it has a 90 degree viewing angle. That extra 18 degrees is extremely important if you want to fit more than one person on camera.

I would also throw in that if you want to use it's feature to personify without the need of a green screen (Logitech C922) then have a pretty up to date computer in terms of processor for it to work. Although I got mines out of box for 70$, I was disappointed that I couldn't use the personify feature due to my processor. But it's still a nice camera for streaming overall.
So before I open the hunt myself on a webcam I decided to check here what you guys have/ or would suggest. Likes what should I look for in a webcam, min specs it should fit etc ( I presume Full HD quality).

Best value for money IMO is the Logitech C920.
Haven't found one myself yet, that gives better (picture) quality for it's price.
I have the Logitech C920, definitely a good steal for its price. Good HD 1080p webcam with a minitripod attachment. Clear picture and has a built in mic but wouldnt suggest using that mic at all.
