Everyone’s preferences and budgets are different but I’ll go ahead and give you my personally favorite brands. I’ve spent a lot of time learning about slower fashion brands and do my best to buy from brands that have longevity. I also don’t thrift as often these days and try to focus on supporting brands that are doing better - ethically or sustainably. Obviously none are perfect but I’m doing my best. As always, well done nails, hair, makeup/grooming, accessories, clothing fit and posture can elevate even the cheapest outfit from Target! There is no one brand that will make you look more expensive, it's all about how you style it! In terms of brands I would say Madewell! They have a lot of casual items, but they also have wool coats, blazers, and great quality denim that is worth purchasing! Also Banana Republic has upped their game in the clothing department, def worth taking a look. They've shifted from work wear to casual "I own a yacht" wear, and although some of the ensembles are a bit much for daily, you can TOTALLY make some of their prices work. I'm a fan of their tapered cargo pant and it's like super elevated causal wear. They also have great blazers, jackets, and trench coats worth looking into. Other brands that have pieces you might consider could be Club Monaco, COS, Alice & Olivia, and Intermix (collection of brands), but this all depends on your style and budget. For sportswear Lululemon reigns supreme for a more trendy look and Athleta for a more sophisticated look Athleta has some solid daily pieces like their Brooklyn Jogger/Pant. For accessories Gorjana has some great pieces worth looking into. And for bags, choose to carry something that is well made and in solid shape!
