I’d honestly say that you should prioritize a good software (or no software needed) and stable switches ( like here ). Also whatever you buy, make sure it has easy mac modifier swapping (command/option). That’s the whole quality of life thing that makes a big difference. Also don't forget to read reviews, so you know fs whether it works or not. Too many scams nowadays. Answer from In2da on reddit.com

https://www.pckeyboard.com/page/category/SpacesaverM I have two Unicomp keyboards. Neither are special Mac models, but they do make special Mac models. I got Mac keytops, and use Karabiner Elements for key remapping. Unicomp produced the model M keyboard for IBM and holds the rights to the patents. It is also an employee owned company, which is pretty cool. The company was spun out of Lexmark. The keyboards are made in Kentucky. Warning: they are loud. I was once told at a workplace that they’d get me any quiet keyboard I wanted as long as I took mine back home. They kinda said I didn’t have a choice in the matter. They are a one time lifetime purchase. Mine are at least 20 years old.

I need a mechanical keyboard fully compatible with a Mac
My experience with keyboards has been that if they're not made by Apple or Matias, they can do nothing during startup. (No Option to choose drive, R to open recovery partition, C to startup from DVD, etc.) Most of the mechanical keyboards I've looked at are made for Windows but are Mac compatible. Hello, im using a corsair keyboard rn with the standart windows layout. I dont want to search up the characters everytime on google...so i want to know if there is a keyboard similar to corsair ones that got the macOS layout.
It should be mechanical with high keycaps and rgb in the best case (normal led is okay too)
Price dosen't matter and it should have the "qwertz" layout.
thanks

I need a mechanical keyboard fully compatible with a Mac
I was given an Apple magic keyboard with touch ID and numeric keypad for Christmas. Just getting around to installing it and noticed it says "requires Mac with Apple Silicon" I do not have that operating system, I have Catalina os which I can upgrade to Ventura os. Will this keyboard work with Ventura os? 470 2 ... Apple don't make wired keyboards any more but Matias do. Matias make both mechanical keyboards and ones like the newer Apple keyboards i.e.
