Side rant: They should’ve released the Pro 10 on the commercial market… with the 11 being ARM it’s kind of weird to have to backtrack 2 generations if you wanted an x86 Model. I upgraded from Home to Pro on the Go without issue. Just use a valid product key for it. I also took it out of S mode to install a few apps that aren't in the Store like Official Notepad ++ instead of the unofficial in the Store and VPN software. More on reddit.com

Is it worth getting in your opinion? I can get it through my employer for exclusively my personal use and I’m considering it. I have had iPads for a few years and feel rather limited by the functionality. It just feels like a blown up iPhone and not a real productivity device. I’m considering SP10 because of the X86 processor and no compatibility issues. I want to be to able to play some light games from time to time too. Reason I’m asking here for advice is I cant find any real reviews on this thing. Does it offer a good price to performance ratio? Any alternatives I should compare it against? Any known issues I should be aware of?

But you shouldn't! Microsoft has announced an event for May 20th, and there they will unveil the consumer versions of the Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6.
