August 25, 2020Chinese Cordless Stick Vac - 2 year update
I'm glad I found this post! I kept hearing that cheaper cordless vacuums were a mistake to buy but it sounds like they should at least be adequate, especially for the price? Since I heard cheaper was worse, I looked at what was available at a higher price point. I narrowed my choices of Dyson (V15 Outsize maybe), Samsung Jet 90, and LG to the LG A9 CordZero Kompressor model. It's probably going to cost around $500 but comes with a stand which I think will be helpful and has a 10 year warranty (sounds like it'll last?). I'd rather not spend $500 if I can help it though. I'm not sure if you can tell me, any idea how close the Moosoo K24 gets to the LG? The background on my needs is that I need to suck up a lot of long human hairs and general dirt on mostly hardwood floors and perhaps some low/med-pile area rugs. I'm also fairly lazy when it comes to cleaning so would need something that requires the least amount of maintenance and would be easiest to use and upkeep for things like cleaning out the bin or washing filters. 2 years ago I bought a Moosoo K24 cordless stick 4 in 1 vacuum and posted on this sub about it.
Immediately I got alot of hate for it with people saying it would be dead within a month, horrible purchase, waste of money etc etc.
I disagreed and thought it was well worth $100 and that I would get the kind of use out of it that I was looking for.
Well I have now been using this vacuum every week for 2 years now and it has worked flawlessly this entire time. No degradation in performance, no issues, and it has been an absolute joy to vacuum with and has definitely gotten us to vacuum on a much more frequent basis.
The suction is more than sufficient (i mostly use on hardwood but some area rugs as well). The battery lasts for the entire job and the spare battery is helpful if i have more to clean or forget to charge the main battery. The tools it comes with are useful as well.
The filters are easy to clean and i have been using the same 2 filters for this whole period. I will say that you MUST clean them religiously. I wash them every 2 weeks and I usually empty the can once a week. Very easy to maintain.
Overall this vacuum has done everything I've asked of it and i would buy another in a heartbeat.

Popping into this thread -- We're approaching year 4 with our Moosoo K24, has worked like a charm and I've had no issues. It's 50/50 hardwood floor and carpet. It's not my workhorse vacuum (we have a Miele C3 for that), but it's for short uses/quick pick ups. If it died tomorrow, I'd pick up another one (but looks like they're not on Amazon anymore).
