@Elias:
Hi, I'm using Windows 7 and I want to play a video game but a message appears that says "The program can't start because VCRUNTIME140.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem", and i am 13 years old and I don't know how to solve this problem
Download and install both the x86 and x64 versions of the Visual C++ redistributable package:
- x86: vc_redist.x86.exe
- x64: vc_redist.x64.exe
Hi,
Just installed WoW on my new laptop. The game launcher keeps trying to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 Redistributable, to no avail. I have deleted and reinstalled both the launcher and the game, rebooted like there's no tomorrow but still no results.
While running WoW, there's all kinds of trouble when I try to open the armory, news et cetera.
I have tried to download C++ directly from the support sites of Microsoft, but then I get a message there's already C++ installed. So basically I have no other options left but to abandon WoW altogether.
What can I do to get WoW running the way it should?
Hi i had the same problem. You have to download it from the visual studio software page at https://my.visualstudio.com/Downloads?q=C++%202019 It will make you sign in/up. Then just go to downloads and search C++ 2019 and download the program that comes up. That worked for me hope its the same for you.
Dear John Dev,
Sadly, the error message is still there.
I will describe what I did.
I clicked on the link you gave me. I then when to the top line, about the version for 2015,2017, 2019 and 2022. I downloaded the version for x86. I then downloaded the version for x64.
I then went to the Virtual Box website (https://www.virtualbox.org) and downloaded the Windows hosts.
I thought the software would then run, but it keeps giving me the same error message as before.
Can you suggest what I may be doing wrong here?
Marek
