If you need music streaming, Apple Music and Spotify both offer student discount. Spotify is cheaper, but Apple Music offers Lossless audio and Dolby Atmos if you're into that kind of stuff. I personally uses Apple Music because it offers more but only 5 cents more expensive. More on reddit.com

Nope. They all only do 4 years based on time in the service. Not your actual time as a student. So if you sign up as a student but leave that semester, you can remain as a student (in theory, there are a few catches which might get you) for four years. Then, you are done. Even if you go back for a second degree, masters, or doctorate. The only option is to plan it out. If AM student rate is dead, you should consider switching to another student option on another service to save. IMO: If you are young, start with Spotify for 4 years. For most people except music majors, their musical intelligence and taste is incomplete or poor along with their ability to care about quality so, it is fine. Spotify playlists can be moved to most other services. Like to Apple. But I might go with Deezer for graduate and doctoral (yes, those students are still poor!). It is CD quality which is very fine. If you are an old geezer back in school, and used those up, then go with Qobuz. As soon as you make a living, just pay for it. I think Apple with Lossless for $10 USD a month is the best long term one as adults who are in the Apple ecosystem. Some combo deals with other Apple services, might also make it a better deal. Above is subject to a lot of things that could change. Like more price competition or consolidation or other factors like if you get free music with your phone or cable plan. Family plans also reduce costs. Amazon Music HD is a good deal for Prime members but, the UI is terrible IMO and, moving to or from Amazon Music is hassle and even impossible in some directions. I have Prime but still go with Apple Music. The Amazon Music interface is just too much of a pain in the rear to use. More on reddit.com
