I want to score a good black friday deal on a convertible car seat. Nuna rava seems the nicest but Im torn between that and getting a rotating one (evenflo, city jogger, cybex etc) help ☺️

When we’re done with the infant seat we’re getting the Rava. I think size wise it’ll work best with our vehicle, but the rotating seats also just make me nervous. In my mind, moving parts just make the seat weaker. I’ve heard others say their rotating seats rattle for that reason. I know others really love them, but I just can’t wrap my brain around them.

I have a Rava and a Revv (the rotating Nuna). I thought it was going to be a lot easier. It’s marginally easier to get the kid in and out but it’s harder to install and use properly. If I had it to do over I would get another Rava.

The sales associate at my local Nordstrom told me the items that would be on sale, but I forgot since that was a while ago. I would just go into Nordstrom and ask which Nuna items will be on sale.

I have a pipa but it has an actual car seat base which you just drop the seat into and base remains in the car. This travel system/update to car seat seems extremely annoying having to actually click the legs into the car seat anchors every time. The anchors are usually pretty hard to to click in because they need to be super secure, maybe this one is easier? But like I said surface value it seems super annoying to actually have to click that in and out EVERY time you put it in or take it out. Zero complaints about the pipa or the nuna mixx full stroller I have (I don't have this travel stroller version.

I have the Nuna mix next and although I am in love with the stroller it’s really heavy. I kinda wish I went with the Nuna travel for the fact that it’s so easy to fold down and super lightweight.

My wife and I are looking into rotating convertible car seats and we've narrowed it down to the Nuna Revv and Baby Jogger City Turn. The main reasons are: 1 - it's challenging for my shorter wife to lift our baby into our SUV (4Runner) and 2 - I got back issues and I imagine the twisting motion to load/unload baby would be really painful over time.
Nuna Revv:
Pros:
Full 360 turn
Ability to adjust recline without uninstalling/reinstalling the seats
Anti-rebound panel
Cons:
*Rattling noise* - been reading on reddit about people's experience with a loud rattling sound with their Revv
Lower weight limit (40lbs)
I'm reading we would need another seat before getting a booster?
Price ($100 more than the City Turn)
Baby Jogger City Turn:

Rotation brings baby 10 inches closer

Flagging - the City Turn by Baby Jogger has forever chemicals in the fabric (PFAS). I own it and only found out after calling customer service. Looking now to get a different brand now because I can't stand the idea of that being on my kid's skin. Really wish they used non-toxic fabrics. Customer service told me all their fabrics have the forever chemicals in them. Really toxic for people but especially kids.

We have the city turn. We love it. We've had it 5 months. We have a 99pct 6 month old and our infant car seat got damaged by TSA so we needed a replacement. Love that it brings him closer to us. It's super helpful when you have to lift them fully out and provide head support. You listed not being able to adjust recline when installed as a con. It's super easy to install and we've only had to adjust incline once so it's never crossed our minds that this could be a con. By the time he's front facing, I doubt we will really care about the rotation cause he'll be able to move a lot himself and it'll be easy to enough to secure him. Also you mentioned it's $100 cheaper but it also goes on sale relatively regularly compared to nuna. We got ours for $350 during a sale!

…if you arent 100% sure about it. I purchased a Nuna Rava from Nordstrom.com as I do not have any stores around me that carry higher-end car seats. Opened the box, decided it was too high up on the sides for my larger baby and immediately put it back in box to return to UPS. The return policy is not the standard Nordstrom policy, and it is my fault for not reading the fine print. I ended up without a refund after waiting for weeks after they received the car seat. I had to reach out to customer service only to find out that they recycled the box and I will not be receiving the $680 I paid.

It’s not just in fine print, there’s a big red sticker over the part of the box where you open it that says that it must be returned in an unopened box. (Source: I just opened a Nuna Rava from Nordstrom and I still have the box).
