Anybody else just straight up refuse to shill the business select? We get hounded about it at least three times a day every shift, and I'm so fucking fed up with it that I just straight up will not talk about it. My GM keeps trying to shove it down customers throats every time they come up with ink or toner, and I'm so fucking sick to death. What the fuck do I get out of this??? It's not even like I'd get treated better if I DID get a business select bc nobody gives a shit about what you do, just what they notice you DON'T do.

I only ask about it if i see it to be an ACTUAL benefit to the customer. No, im not gonna ask Rachael if she's interested in Business Select with her clearance pack of pencils. But Robert, who's been in here 4 times, is already buying more paper and toner for his office... sure.I'll let him know of it. But like... if they say no, I won't press.

Any body have any good tips on getting business select sign-ups and coaching your team? I'm having a hell of a time getting them at my store. Me and my team offer it every chance we get, but it seems like no one is ever interested. Any tips or advice would be helpful! Thanks

Focus on people who are buying ink and high ticket toner. Anybody who has big baskets of supplies. CPD should focus on repeat customers who come in frequently because we basically pay them to sign up for BS with the $100 credit. Big ticket furniture also, as well as any expensive printer. Especially laserjets.

Kinda hard to sell the idea of Business Select when it is a trash program that can typically be beaten by asking to price match Amazon.. As far as print goes, that $100 credit will get you like 100 color copies (after tax) so it’s the most enticing incentive, but if you haven’t already signed up your regulars after a year of the program existing, and you have in fact been trying, then statistically you probably never will. The fact that most of the regulars who go for shit like this probably did the free trial early when it was being pushed hard and canceled already is also working against corporates delulu expectation for exponential growth of BS (marketing really should have thought harder on that name.) But good luck! Have you tried lying and telling them it will save them money and it isn’t just a ploy to get them to spend more when they forget to cancel?
