My wife hasn’t seen a ton of films I always took for granted that everyone had seen, things like Fight Club, Alien, American Psycho, Goodfellas etc. what are some classic films that everyone should see at some point in their life (not really looking for old classics like Casablanca/citizen kane things like that though)
Hi! I’ve recently started exploring classic films from the '80s and '90s, and I’m really enjoying the experience. I just finished watching "Stand by Me," and it was fantastic. I’d love to get some recommendations for must-see iconic movies that every film lover should experience. I’m thinking of putting together a movie bucket list, so any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated!
It seems like the bulk of every lists consists of movies released after the year 2000, with a few token classic like the Godfather or something.
Expand your horizons! If you supposedly don’t like black and white movies for whatever idiotic reason you don’t even have to go back that far. The 60s to the 80s were loaded with great stuff.
Any single year in the 1970’s blows out everything that’s came out in the last 20 years. For example I just put in a random year in google: 1974. We’ve got Texas Chainsaw, Blazing Saddles, Chinatown, The Conversation, Young Frankenstein, Godfather Part 2. And that’s without even digging into it.
