i have omen laptop windows 10 home

Hey!
Pretty much title. After I tried to test custom undervolting and having few reboots, the app refused to work. I downloaded everything, from drivers, to updating BIOS, force uninstall and reinstall and nothing.
At times the OMEN button also doesn't work and I get sometimes a cmd window rather than the loading screen even.
My specs are OMEN 15 2020 laptop with i7-10750H and RTX 2070.
Would be nice to find a fix since lately the program has been buggy for most users. Still have to find a way to reduce battery consumption on heavy load games while plugged-in and I thought a slight undervolting might fix this issue. Thanks in advance!!
Hi all, I own an Omen 25L and I've recently run into this problem while trying to adjust user permissions for the app (couldn't kill the app in task manager). There's no error code or anything, and I have tried reinstalling the app and its drivers. This problem has locked me out of the fan curves and my pc fans are constantly at a low speed. Any ideas?
EDIT: Found a solution! You have to use a tool like Geek Uninstaller to uninstall Omen Hub, then just reinstall it, worked for me!
I have an HP Omen 45L with a 5090 GPU and Ultra 285k monitor.
I recently did a fresh install of Windows 11 to get rid of the bloatware that came with the system. After that, I tried installing the OMEN Gaming Hub so I could customize the fan RGB lighting and change the image on the water cooler LCD.
The installation went through the Microsoft Store and completed without any issues. However, when I launch the app, it immediately crashes with an error message: "An unexpected error has occurred while launching OMEN Gaming Hub. Would you like to relaunch?" It gives two options: Relaunch or Close, but neither works.
Iβve tried running the app as an administrator and followed several troubleshooting suggestions from the HP forums, but nothing has helped so far.
Has anyone run into this or know a fix? Any help would be appreciated!
Hello, For several days now, I haven't been able to start the HP Omen Gaming Hub (even though I haven't changed anything). I've spent almost 10 hours trying to get it working again, without success!
I've tried the following steps:
- Completely deleted it using appdata, localappdata, and localappdata/packages
- Performed a wsreset
- Downloaded and installed the latest version of the Gaming Hub from the support website, after first removing the old SP folder in Windows.
- Tried to download the Gaming Hub again via the Microsoft Store. The Gaming Hub was always only partially installed. The file is 800MB, but sometimes only 30MB, sometimes only 13MB, and sometimes 40MB were installed. I repeated these steps multiple times.
- Then, because it didn't work via the Store, I downloaded the Omen Hub from a third-party website, which allowed it to be fully installed.
However, it still won't open.
How is it possible that I bought a fairly expensive gaming PC from HP and then can't even run an official HP app on it? All drivers and software are up to date. What can I do to finally get it working?
I have an Omen 15 laptop and my omen gaming center stopped working recently. Whenever I open it stays on the loading screen where it has the diamond with the text underneath it. It does not open no matter how much I wait. I can close it by right-clicking on the icon in my taskbar and clicking close window. But when I open it again I get an all-black screen that I can only close with task manager. How should I fix this?
This is what happens when I open it again. When I open it a third time the cycle repeats This is what happens when I first open it
Hi all,
My Omen 16 2021 was receving windows update last night (windows 11) and after restart I can't launch Omen Gaming Hub/Omen Light Studio/Omen Oasis Live (the Omen Audio Control was fine) from the program list or from the quick launch button on the keyboard. I've tried remove and reinstall it from windows store wouldn't solve the issue, I download the sdk and try to install it maunally then I receive error while launching the installation file (and nothing happens).
Now I've lost my light and fan control, what can I do to get them back? I've read somewhere that is due to the windows update had closed some service using by Omen software but I don't know what are they to re-open them. Does anyone experiencing similar issue and find a way out?
Thanks,
David
Hi,
As the title says - as of recently my omen gaming hub will not open. I have tried restarting my PC multiple times, relaunching (and send error logs) multiple times but to no avail.
As far as I'm aware, this MAY be due to me not installing the HP System Event Utility that I am being forced to install due to the Caps Lock display.
If it is due to the SEU, is there anything I can do to bypass it or am I just locked out of seeing my vitals until I succumb to the install? :/
btw, for context I have a Omen Gaming Laptop with these:
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060
i7-10750H
16.0 GB
64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
I have tried reinstalling, resetting and rapairing it (through windows settigns), but nothing gets HP Omen Gaming Hub working again. Any tips? Alternatively, is there a way to turn off the decorative green light on the front of the desktop beside Omen Gaming Hub?
I just got my laptop recently and the gaming hub opened once or twice while I was setting it up, but now I can't open it anymore.

Hey man, have you tried to update through windows store?
I've seen a couple of threats on here that descriped a problem that I was having where Omen Gaming Hub was stuck in a boot loop or wouldn't even show any bootup screen but all of them were archived so I couldn't post my solution there those i'm making this threat so that others with the same problem might find it.
So the problem that i was experiencing was that Omen Gaming Hub was stuck in a boot up loop and I had unistalled it and tried at least five different suggestions including repearing it through windows app setting and downloading it from HP's official website, doing the same but via microsoft store and messing around in other ways.
after having tried 5 or so different solutions that worked for some others i still had the same problem. I then finally found a solution that worked for me. I used thrid party software (in this case the free version of iobit unistaller) that unistalled the program and deleted residual files left behind such as regestry edits. I deleted both the gaming hub and the HP system event utilities and the light studio software (but you might have to delete other HP software too, I didn't). I then reinstalled all of the deleted software through the microsoft store and it finally started working again.
TL;dr omen gaming hub didn't work deleted Omen gaminghub, HP event utilites and light studio with IObit unistaller and reinstall through microsoft store.
Its a blank window that i cant close, move, im only able to close it with the task manager. Even when closing the main application it stays. in task manager its called Omen Command Center Background.
After a clean windows instalation (win10 x64 2H2), I noticed that my Omen gaming hub app no longer works. Only device that uses Omen is my keyboard, omen sequencer. When windows finished to install all updates and drivers automatically, I proceeded to install the Omen gaming hub app. To my surprise I got the following error no matter what.
I tried everything i can think off: Uninstall , restart, install. Uninstall, delete anything omen related, reinstall Manually uninstall de keyboard driver. Installed hp SDK for omen
No matter what I get the same error.
Fun fact. On previous windows instalation...when latest updates were installed, I noticed omen hub interface acting up, and glitching. So might it be a issue with latest windows updates?. Also driver wise nothing changed apart from motherboard/cpu

Ok, found the reason for the error. Why is nobody talking about this ?!
The issue is incorrect windows version/type. Apparently I had windows 10 enterprise N. And N version comes with all media features striped down. Meaning crucial features needed for Omen are not installed by default (TBH do not know what exactly). In the end I reinstalled the non N version of windows and finally it worked.
I got my OMEN 16 today and after all windows and other updates my omen hub key isn't working the app is opening but not from the key What is the solution
When I try to open Omen Gaming Hub it will just sit on the loading screen until I try to open it again where I then get this message.
I have redownloaded multiple times and still nothing, my thought is that it can be missing drivers since it was fixed originally through hp support screen connect and he downloaded a bunch of drivers but now this has happened and I don't know why. Any help?I am currently having a problem with the Omen gaming hub program. I try to open it but it does not pop up. I look for it in the task manager programs and it shows that is running in the background (OMEN command center background). The settings (quiet Eco and default) are not active anymore and the games that were programed to activate a boost don't work. In short the program is not working and when i try to run it it just appears shortly in the task manager. I already tried to uninstall it from windows apps and reinstalling, tried updating my OS and drivers even downloaded the version from omen website to try it out. I don't know why this is happening or how to fix it.
This started a few months back, OMEN Gaming Hub would literally just freeze as soon as I launch it and it'd also reset all my preferences. Like, all my RGB and fan settings would be reset. I literally had to make a new profile to switch to it every time it auto switches to default profile and resets it.
I don't even mind the default profile reset, but the freeze shortly after launch is killing me, and the app is very laggy and slow for no reason whatsoever. It's been like that shortly after Geforce Now integration. I feel like the app is just getting awful now.
