Accessing 'My Maps' in Google Maps
Answering my own post in case anyone else is having this problem because I think I have found a semi-solution. In the end I copied the URL from desktop and sent to my mobile. The URL then opens in Chrome (as opposed to Google Maps). I then added a shortcut to the map on my Android home screen so it is easy to access. It's not perfect, but honestly My Maps integration never has been so I guess it's better than nothing. More on reddit.com

It is possible that it became corrupted if you save it as you close the program, meaning it could not finish the save. Check the size of the map in the map folder. If that is 0 kb, it was not saved correctly. Recover an older version of the map by going to the backup folder through the program, and then opening the latest version of your map. Save it again properly, overwriting your old corrupted version. As long as you didn't work on a different map for a longer period of time in the meanwhile it's no problem recovering your map. Edit: the latest beta build partly fixes this issue by forcing the save to be finished before the program closes. More on reddit.com

I've put together a map in My Maps with a lot of pins. But I can't seem to access this in the latest version of Google Maps on Android. I Used to be able to go into my saved maps and access it from there, but can't find this option now.
My Maps app is no longer supported and doesn't show all maps, and when I save it to Google Drive and go to open it, I get an error saying it can't open the map.
Please help! I spent ages putting these pins in, but have no way to access on my phone. Or if you have any recommendations for similar apps let me know.

I was able to view the map I created in My Maps by opening the link in a browser, then clicking the "Preview" button opened it in the Google Maps app. :)

Unable to open a "my maps" map in Google map
Hello everyone!
I have created a map on google "My maps" that I would like to be able to open in google maps.
It's not big, "only" 700 different points.
It worked at first, I could open it on my phone (android) as well as on Google maps via chrome on my computer.
But soon after (between 15 min and an hour, I don't really know), nothing worked.
My map is still visible from "GG My Maps", but I can't display it on Google Maps, nor on my computer via chrome, nor on my phone. On the latter, a message appears: "couldn't open the map".
I've seen similar messages on other forums, but I haven't found a concrete answer to this problem.... If anyone has experienced this problem and could give me some advice, I'd really appreciate it!

Though I never experienced that, I would suspect something wrong with this map You can try to export it into Kml files and import it into a new map

Don't expect too much help from google, no support for My Maps for a long time. Very strange situation. If you are patient, you might cut the kml file in pieces in notepad like cut in half or quarters and create partial maps to check. Something could be wrong with the data
