I do, but I choose not to hook it up to the quick connect. Those things really go through the propane so I carry separate tanks so I don’t drain my onboard supply. Learned that lesson the hard way. More on reddit.com

I got a little propane campchef pit and 5lb ignik tank with the same idea…family car camping in burn ban areas. Unfortunately the rangers I’ve encountered still asked us not to use it.
