I got a parking ticket yesterday in the 5 min period between when my parking expired and I extended it from the app while out at brunch. Whatever it’s stupid but I know it’s my fault. I just want to pay this thing off ASAP and be done with it.

I can’t lookup the ticket online and therefore can’t pay it. Some Reddit posts say it can take up to a month for it show up online. In the past, 2 other tickets I’ve gotten have shown up online immediately. Now my issue is I’m leaving the country tomorrow for a few weeks. I know I have 25 days to pay before being charged late fees.

So what are my options to pay this thing now? I can’t mail a payment because I don’t have checks and can’t get to the post office in time to get stamps or money order. Plus scared to death of the payment getting lost in the mail. I know my other option is going in person to pay at the city of Chicago office but it’s only open during business hours and I can’t get away from work before my flight tomorrow. Even if I could make it, would they be able to lookup my ticket if it’s not showing online? I live near one of the EZpay kiosks could I pay there? Would it be able to look it up? Can I pay over the phone with a human on the other end? Or could I somehow just make a random payment not tying it back to the ticket necessarily and deal with it when I get back to make sure I don’t get the late fees?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
