Hi,

I know that Google Play not longer allows you to add Paypal in 2025, however after 30 minutes of Googling... Every source I found says that you *should* be able to still add Paypal to your Samsung Wallet.

I am using a Samsung S23+. Im on Android Version 15, One UI Version 7.0, and my Samsung Wallet is on Version 6.0.39(from the confusing Samsung App Store).

When I open my Samsung Wallet -> I go to "All" -> Tap on Payment Cards -> Hit the "+" sign -> Add credit or debit card, Get a Samsung Money by SoFi, Get Samsung Pay Cash, & Add a card by QR code ---^ ^ These are my only options. I dont get a "Add Paypal" option. I tried "add credit or debit card" but this does exactly what it says it does. No extra option to select Paypal.

I can add Paypal to my Samsung Account by tapping the settings cog -> Tapping on my profile -> Payment methods -> Payment methods(yes its twice) -> Add paypal.

However this is not useful at all, because this does not add it to your NFC/Samsung Wallet.

Thanks in advance and hopefully we can help future googlers from wasting their time too

It not. I still have my PayPal but it just links to my PayPal debit.

Not sure what your problem is because I just added my paypal to Samsung pay without any problems. What does the error say when you try to add PayPal?

I would probably call PayPal customer care I added mine and everything went fine and then I went to log into the website and it tried to call me but T-Mobile software blocked the call PayPal had to reset and ask me questions to help verify my identity to be honest the questions were kind of creepy to and very invasive like how old is my brother

You can easily fix the Samsung Pay app if it freezes, crashes, or does not respond. Most of the time, you just need to restart your phone to get the app working again.

Connected my PayPal account to SPay (bank account and credit card linked). I used it a few days ago and thought it didn't work because my finger was in the way. Tried it again and it worked.

Today I go to the same store and same thing happened. I tried it a third time and and still didn't work. SPay app and cashier said the card was unreadable so I ended up using my main card on SPay. Has this happened to anyone? Any way to fix it?

I had the same issue. I know spay works at the store (I work there) so it's gotta be a PayPal issue.

This worked for me too, but you need to make sure you remove all your cards from both Android Pay AND PayPal. Removing all the cards in just one will not get it to work.

Need to activate the deal in your PayPal account either through the app or website. Once activated head back to Samsung, checkout then select PayPal. You should see the 4 pay option. Also, make sure you’re not doing a trade in or have the VIP advantage in your cart as this will prevent you from seeing the 4 pay option.

Also if you havent done so, add the fold to your cart, then remove it get out of the app, and add it again it might be cheaper if it gets cheaper, leave it in the cart and close the app open it again and your cart might have an extra 50 off lol just happened to me

Samsung Pay + Paypal is brilliant. there is no other way in this world to bypass paypals limits how you can spend friends and family cash in the real world. The cards limit you to $2k a monthand your bank account can only acceept $1k It was next to impossible to collect money from buyers and spend that money efficiently without a business account before samsung pay You can buy a car with money collected via paypla without a business account as long as you have samsung pay

PayPal debit card pays out 1% cash back on all purchases. Samsung pay does not. There is no way you can link the debit card to Samsung pay. They force you to use your PayPal account instead.

Basically title. I was going to purchase earlier today and use PayPal, but got distracted. Went back a few minutes ago, and the option to pay via PayPal has been disabled for the Note 8 only (showed up when I just had a phone cover in the cart).

Had the same issue, used my CC even though I wanted to take advantage of PayPal. Didn't want to miss out on Ebates incase they lowered their percentage.
