Hi all. I'm considering using a digital wallet for my credit cards, but I'd rather not have to set them up with a new service like Google Wallet or Samsung Pay if I can avoid it. I already use PayPal, but I'm having trouble figuring out the answer to my question.
From what I've been reading, and from what I see in the app itself, it looks like you can only pay for in-store purchases by either scanning a QR code in the store or by showing the store a QR code that the app generates. Is there no way to use tap-to-pay like Google Wallet or the others?

Only if you link it to Apple Pay or Google Pay and use that. And it will only access funds in your balance, not a linked card or bank account. So it's easier to just link the card or bank account directly to APay or GPay.
