Plantronics Voyager Legend UC In-Depth Review + Mic Test
You truly don’t have to look very far to find a Bluetooth wireless headset that can’t match up to this one. Plain and simple, it’s a good value for a high quality classically designed headset. In my book that’s something worth considering. Want to experience the quality sound of the Plantronics Voyager Legend headset yourself? Shop now for a pair of your own. Why are Plantronics headsets so commonplace in IT offices/departments and even regular ones?
I use a plantronics headset and have used it for six hours of calls after leaving it off the charging cradle overnight. Whatever your personal device is, it’s probably inferior to the plantronics dev. Please remember Plantronics is what 1960s NASA chose to use to send men to the moon. Not whatever Your personal device is. More on reddit.com
Opinions on the Plantronics Voyager 8200 UC?
Wow. Those are some serious headphones for UC use. I have a pair and they are great for calls in noisy environments due to the beam forming microphones. Audio quality for music IMHO is average and the ANC isn’t as good as Bose. A little bulky as they can’t fold as small as some other headphones. Plantronics is mostly known for Office headsets used for call centres. Thou in recent years, they have entered into various casual listening and consumer headsets market. More on reddit.com
I am looking for a high-quality wireless mono earpiece/headphone (that clips on the ear) with a great mic for noisy environments for Teams. Does anyone have a good suggestion?
IT guy here. Based on my experience, if you want something that is high quality, look to the higher end of Plantronics, Jabra or Sennheiser. If you want something comfortable, look at the stuff geared toward call centers/sales people who are on the phone all day long. With that said, none of those are going to be cheap. I personally hate wireless headsets when dealing with stuff for work. I would rather deal with the cable than worry about a bad connection or dead battery. I did have an ISP tech come in with an AfterShokz headset (bone conducting), which seemed to work well in our server room (lots of fan noise). Maybe look at their stuff. In a noisy environment you may still need to use earplugs. I just looked up the Voyager 5200 and it looks to be around $115, which is a lot cheaper than I though it would be. If that is outside your price range your going to want to look at a wired headset (which might be tough to find in that style) or an off brand. Everything wireless that I could recommend is going to be at or above that price point, including some of the wired stuff. Also one of the reasons over the head, over the ear, dual ear (maybe not stereo) headsets are popular in call centers is because they are comfortable (head strap supports most of the weight) and help to block out background noise making it easier to hear your conversation. Have you considered a set of earbuds until you can save enough for a nice wireless headset? I really like the Samsung Galaxy S7 style earbuds and they can be had for around $5/pair. Looking for a high quality headset / earpiece that has a minimalist design for client calls while working from home
Most important feature: Do you have a button on the headset to mute/unmute yourself in the call? This is such a helpful function if you want to walk around a bit in your room. Not possible afaik with Bose NC 35 More on reddit.com

My boss is having us migrate to using Plantronics headsets that are Bluetooth and have a dock they charge on. And I hate this. I like using my own setup and don’t want to not be able to finish a call because my battery died.
Yet I see these all over my office and other offices I go to that the employees there use.

Jabra vs Plantronics | Wireless Headset Review
Despite the reviews saying the voice calling was superior to the Plantronics, the feedback I got from the people on the other end of my phone calls was not complimentary. I had many reports of people having difficulty hearing me, and I didn’t have great success hearing them at times either. There also isn’t a way to adjust the volume directly on the headset (unlike the Plantronics) and the rubber ear piece that sits in your ear, falls off easily.

Review: The Plantronics Voyager 6200 UC Was Interesting Enough to Change My Mind – GeekDad
March 28, 2018 - This may be Plantronics’ first neckband headphones, but the years of experience making Bluetooth headsets translates well here. The only question is if the heavy price tag is worth it for you. As a personal investment, maybe not. Especially not, say, for runners. However, as a business expense or for the serious college student? I can see it. Note: Plantronics offered me this unit to review and test.
