What Is The Heat Output And Propane Consumption Of The FireCan?
The FireCan has a heat output of about 38,000 BTU/hr. on its high setting. In general, 1 gallon of propane can output about 91,500 BTU. Our 5 lb. Gas Growlers hold roughly 1.2 gallons of propane, so a full Gas Growler will run the FireCan on max setting for approximately 2.5 - 3 hours. High altitude and low temperatures can affect propane burn efficiency, so these numbers may vary depending on conditions.
Which Firepit should I buy?
The R4 is the hot one. The R1 is the small one. What do your expeditions need more: heat or packability?
Can I Purchase A Grill Insert For My FireCan?
Unfortunately, we do not sell the grill inserts separately, and have found that it would likely not work well in our standard FireCan. The original FireCan's flame is not exactly suitable for cooking, and is calibrated for heat, while the FireCan Deluxe has two separate burners, one for heat and one for cooking.

Best portable propane fire pit?
Any thoughts on portable fire pits?
Looking for portable propane firepits that allow for light cooking (sausage on a stick, s'mores, potentially occasional burgers) for fire ban camping
Portable fire pits, what do you use?
Looking to get a portable propane campfire pit due to increase of burn bans. Wildfires go late in the year when it gets really cold at night, so I'm looking for some that give off decent warmth, but easily portable. Thanks!
