Hey everyone!
Going to be buying a new king sized mattress soon. Do you guys have any recommendations/thoughts about the Purple or Casper Mattresses or any of the other newer brands of mattresses?
I really want to get a purple, but I cant tell if the grid technology they use is comfy or not. Any feedback?
Thanks!

Side+Back Sleeper (Casper, Purple, Bear, or Cocoon long term)?
Also my BIGGEST question would be how are their performance long term? Are there any shagginess or deformation from extended use (1+ years)? Any unmentioned body problems resulting from extensive use?
The mattresses you listed will be initially comfortable but will be awful in the future due to usage of shoddy materials.
A durable mattress is one that uses at least 1.8pcf (pounds per cubic foot) polyfoam or 4pcf of memory foam if you're under 200 pounds - if over 200 pounds then something with 2pcf polyfoam or 5pcf memory foam is necessary.
None of the mattresses you mentioned meet the minimum and even the major retail brands are either unwilling to provide that info or don't meet the minimum either.
With these points in mind, which one these brands should I go for or any other brand suggestions?
Find something that you find comfortable and supportive but that also meets the above criteria if you want something to last.
Personally, I prefer something that is on the cooler side and doesn't retain heat, especially in the summer. Not a fan of the sinking sensation but still want some decent softness to it.
You're going to want to avoid memory foam then and probably stick to either innersprings, latex or a hybrid/variant of the two.
