How to check if a dictionary is empty in Python | Replit
2 weeks ago - If the dictionary is empty, len() returns 0, so the expression len(my_dict) == 0 evaluates to True. This method is slightly more verbose than using not my_dict but is often praised for its readability, especially for those new to Python's truthiness ...

What’s the proper way to check if a dictionary is empty in Python? - TestMu AI Community
I’m trying to determine if a dictionary in Python is empty, but my current approach isn’t working as expected. I have some code that iterates over the dictionary, but it seems to skip things or behave incorrectly, sometimes it just displays “ONLINE” even when no users are registered. [Python] No tests were found/ Empty suite error
I have no access to my computer so I have to guess what might the problem. Also I highly prefer pytest over the built in unittest library. Your test function doesn't return anything. You compare a string with a void function. Instead of printing the string you should return it or you check if the print statement was called but that's not the prefered way. Wrap your unittest.main() function into if name == 'main' and check if it works now. You can rightclick on your testfolder and start the unittest or you write python -m unittest Edit: I don't know how to disable the autoformatting. Use before and after name and main 2x _ More on reddit.com

Excel and python: finding first empty cell in order to get relevant column size
Not sure I'm following your math on counting the rows. You have a total of 13 rows and 4 empty ones so that is 9 rows with data in them. Pandas will count your rows leaving out the empty ones. If you want to know the empty ones, use df['header name'].values == '').sum() see link - https://pandas.pydata.org/pandas-docs/stable/reference/api/pandas.DataFrame.count.html More on reddit.com

How to create an empty list in Python
4 weeks ago - Even though creating an empty list is simple, you'll want to be aware of common pitfalls with function arguments, indexing, and adding items. It's a classic Python "gotcha": using an empty list like [] as a default function argument. Because Python creates this default list only once, it gets shared and modified by every call.

August 20, 2024 - This way, our code would work with an empty list, an empty tuple, or any empty collection. When I write Python code that checks for an empty list, I usually rely on truthiness and falsiness using Python's if statements and the not operator.

Answer (1 of 7): The closest thing to an array in Python is a list, which is dynamic (the size can change). This is somewhat similar to a C++
std::vector
or a Java
ArrayList
(if you’re familiar with those languages and data structures). To make an empty list, you ...
