Hey guys! Recently moved to Denver (Uptown) and was curious what everyone’s opinion on the best Italian in the city is? I moved here from San Francisco and Chicago before that - both having great old school Italian, so I’m excited to try out everyone’s recommendations. Thanks!
I am currently looking for a fast casual Italian place that is cheap and easy. Everywhere that I find or am suggested is expensive and really nice. I love these places but when I'm looking for some cheesy goodness on a Wednesday night these places are not it. I'm looking for a cheap, divey sort of place that serves their stuff with plastic forks.
The closest place I have found is Bella Italia but even there is a tad pricy.
I from Springfield where we had a place called Pasta Express (https://pastaexpress.com/menu/). Cheap and super easy. I do not expect to find the same food just something in a similar vein.
New to the area and looking for a good place for my birthday dinner. Looking for an Italian place or American style.
Bruno’s on Broadway. GREAT food. Super high quality. Real Italian. Very reasonable prices. Not difficult to get a table. Fantastic service. Family owned. It’s not just good for the price, it’s just very good. It being affordable is icing.
Don’t come at me with Tavernetta. It’s solid but not for those ridiculous prices. Same with Barolo.
Quality Italian is sub par a best.
Would love to hear other suggestions though but if you haven’t tried Bruno’s you have to check it out (making it harder for me to get a table but they deserve it).

Food quality and vibes!
I’ll preface this by obnoxiously stating I’m from the east coast. I lived for 25 years in NJ/NYC and Philadelphia and was spoiled for choice with amazing Italian options that didn’t have to be fine dining. Hell, I had a slice of pizza from a food truck in rural Maryland recently that blew 95% of Denver area pizza out of the water. I live in Lakewood now and I’m sick and tired of bland, over-cooked, sad Italian joints in the suburban strip malls (looking at you Cafe Jordano). I’m 6 months pregnant and if I’m leaving the house and can’t drink the food better be amazing!
So please, please, help me out - where are the real, actually good, Italian spots in the metro area (I will drive for food) that are not Tavernetta level expensive (I can’t take advantage of an amazing wine list now anyhow)???
Looking for somewhere to maybe get real imported goods (not just like pasta you can buy at any grocery store) like torrone, taralli, olio di oliva, caciocavallo, etc. Ideally with some owners/workers who speak Italian. Also if there are any events, communities, or parts of town that are predominantly Italian.
Open to restaurant suggestions as well but really looking for the former mostly. Anything helps thanks! 🇮🇹

Hi guys! Here for a few days only to make it count. What's your personal fave that you really cannot miss out on here? Was looking at Olivia & Tavernetta. Quality Italian too but have that in NYC but treating someone from Asia for birthday so might also be a great experience for them. You guys are the experts so thanks so much for coming through! 🙏🏻
Just had an amazing dinner at this authentic Italian restaurant tonight. The owner is from Italy and you can really taste the difference in the quality of the pasta. Had the signature creamy mushroom pasta and was the best pasta I’ve had in the US
I'm italian and I'm living in Denver since January. I tried many restaurants but today I found the real Italian one. "Na favola" (in English means "a tale" and in Rome is used to say "it's awesome")
There you can find an authentic italian food selection like pasta, pizza and dessert.
If you want to know how italian food taste give a chance to this restaurant ( even in Italy I'd rate them 4.5/5)
