What you want is not a thing at your pricepoint. A queensize daybed will look super goofy is that is even a thing. There are BIFL sofabeds but they are likely not queen size but something obscure. I'd visit the search engine and maybe you'll find a BIFL futon for that price.

Ok, so I have a normal size guest room that currently has a daybed with a trundle and provides a lot of room for my desk set up. Recently had adults stay the week and I felt bad that the husband had to sleep on the floor trundle.
Here's the deal. I use the office as an office everyday and only have guests once or twice a year. I also use the daybed all the time to read. I really don't want to do the murphy bed idea. I'm thinking I either get a nice queen bed and get a smaller desk set up OR maybe consider getting a Lazy boy queen sleeper sofa for the guest room upstairs so I can get the best of both worlds.
What do you all think?

My vote is sleeper sofa, it'll feel more like a work environment. Throw a matress pad on top when the bed is unfolded for extra coziness.

I have a queen bed in my office that is only used by guests once or twice a year and I HATE it. Most of the room is filled by an item that is only used 1%of the time, while I'm at my desk 40+hrs a week. I'd love a day bed, Murphy bed or pull out couch instead but it's low priority on our tight budget. I resent that bed every single day.
