Radarscope is well worth the $10 a year. There’s no fluff, or ads, or any extra crap to bog down the app. Even when I barely have cell service it’ll still work. I like the lightning data also. It’s pretty quick, and I can measure how far it is away. Pretty important to me, and the people around me, when we’re outside. Those are the first several big reasons I’ve been paying for it since it came out. I also like that’s there’s no “future animation” or forecasting. I have other apps for that, all I want is the rawest radar data I can get, plus there’s over 20 different products to look at from the radar. There’s so much data available it can be overwhelming learning them all, but once you get your feet wet you’ll be able to see in real time what’s coming. It’s saved our asses more than once. I’m on the south end of tornado alley, so the weather here can be insane. I’ve only got tier 1, but I pay for it on my phone which allows me to have it on my iPad, and I pay $30 a year for the Mac version as well. There’s a lot more people on the Facebook page. Look for “RadarScope Users Group.” The developers are very active on there, and you can get a lot more questions answered there. More on reddit.com
How good is RadarScope?
According to the description of Pro Tier 2 on the app, the historical data ranges from “30 days to 28 years”. I think it depends on the product, and level 2 data goes back further. It’s $14.99 USD per month or $99.99 USD per year for that tier. More on reddit.com
Can I view national weather radar on the Radarscope Windows app?
I would use the app significantly more if this was a thing. More on reddit.com
Do you prefer RadarScope or RadarOmega
They’re both good but I prefer RadarScope as there’s a bigger community and it has a more simple design but that’s just me. More on reddit.com

Hey! So I am interested in Meteorology, and so I wanted a good radar app to use to look at storms (I live in Virginia, so tornados and hurricanes are rare, but we get bad storms) So I was recommend Radarscope by many people, and was wondering if it works well and how much you get with free/tier 1. (Because ya know people leave bad reviews and then I see them and wonder how false they are).

I think literally everyone in my meteorology classes and professors have the app. It’s quite amusing watching the department immediately stare out the window then open radar scope anytime anything interesting happens. It’s great, definitely worth the money if meteorology is something you are interested in.
