Where did you get your driver update from? If I cannot get one directly from the manufacturer of the adapter, (and it doesn’t look like Realtek has Bluetooth drivers on their website,) I would download it from the PC manufacturer’s site.
What driver version are you currently using?
Can you downgrade to the previous version if it was working?
So i built a new pc a few weeks ago and have been using my bose qc ultras with my realtek bluetooth adapter without any issues so far. That was untill yesterday at least when all of a sudden after a restart they wouldnt connect anymore. Windows is giving me error code 31 saying it cant load the drivers for this device. I ran the troubleshoot which apparently reset all the drivers - same issues. I reinstalled the latest drivers manually - still nothing.
Any other ideas i could try?
Hello
I am encountering some sort of bluetooth driver issue in windows 11 and haven't solved it completely and need help. Any bluetooth dongle I use (I've tried multiple) always says driver issues when looked at under "bluetooth & devices" and when plugged in "unknown usb device (device descriptor request failed)" pops up. I have to delete that from devices and from device manager. I had an issue with this popping up every 10 seconds constantly until I deleted all my USB related items in device manager and restarted, and that issue may be fixed.
ASUS BT-BT500 seems to kind of work, although sometimes I have had to reinstall bluetooth items in device manager to reconnect it randomly a couple times and it still says driver issues on it even though when I look for new drivers in device manager they say they are up to date.
TP-link BT adapter 5.4 does not work at all it seems. It gives same error when plugged in and my headphones connect but they audio is cut out 90% of the time. Not usable. My old dongle mostly works. In device manger multiple bluetooth items have copies and are grayed out even after reinstalling them more than once. "Realtek bluetooth adapter" also has a triangle error with error 31 on it in device manager.
Any ideas on what could be causing this? I have tried any solutions I've been able to find online. Other USB devices, eg keyboard, mouse, bluetooth adapter for my 8bitdo controller all seem to work. Thanks for any help.
I have the same problem 2024-10-17 with new stationary PC (motherboard with Bluetooth, ASUS Prime B650M-A WiFiII) and new keyboard and mouse (Logitech MX Keys mini and MX Anywhere 2S).
I temporary get them to work sometimes after removing/uninstalling and rebooting, but then the problem is back... No Bluetooth devices/drivers.
I have same issue. Before update, BT mouse and keyboard where working ok. Now they are not working properly.
Mouse (logitech MX2) is 'jerky', not smooth.
Keyboard (Tellur) has random behavior. Example: "Thiiis is an examplee of ttttttttttttteeeeeeext wrritten withhh ttellur keyboard"
I uninstalled all drivers, then I did search using Windows Update, but no driver is recognized from Windows servers. I tried several Realtek drivers without success. Any further hint?

Hi everybody c:
I had a few HP laptops (Elitebook G10 and G11) getting BSOD whenever someone connected an airpod and others who would connect any bluetooth headphone and it wouldn't give BSOD, but it also wouldn't work.
3 in the beggining of the month I was able to fix by installing the latest MediaTek bluetooth from HP website.
However this past week I had a few with the same issue and when I tried approaching it with the same solution, either updating the driver to the latest MediaTek or RealTek bluetooth driver, or getting the latest from HP website for that specific laptop Product ID: nothing happened.
I download the driver from HP website, clicked it so it extracted the files, went on devmgmt.msc and selected upload drivers, selected the SW**** file with the driver and it would not be installed.
If the bluetooth drivers were there it would say it already has the latest, if I deleted all blueetoth drivers I would install it and the bluetooth icon would disappear form devmgmt list like I hadn't uploaded anything, then I would hold power button for 10 seconds and it would install all of the same drivers all over again (including probably the faulty one).
Any ideas? Thaaanks!
