I May have uninstalled it like last year, for accident, but now I need it and I don't know ho to get it back.
Hello. Today I had my computer formatted and installed Windows 10 Pro. The version is 10.0.10586. The Microsoft Store didn't open, I got a screen saying "try that again". I tried to solve this problem, I tried a few solutions and then I typed the following command into the command line and hit enter:
PowerShell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -Command "& {$manifest = (Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.WindowsStore).InstallLocation + '\AppxManifest.xml' ; Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $manifest}"
After doing so, the Microsoft Store was removed. I tried to install it again but I couldn't. Help me.

I'm making this quick little guide to help the hundreds of Windows 11 users who may find the MS store missing on their operating system. This guide is particularly useful if you tried to install MS store with powershell commands but nothing worked.
Step 1: Open the Xbox app. If you don't have the app then you can just quickly download it on your browser after a quick Google/Bing search "Xbox PC app"
Step 2: Go to settings
Step 3: Click on General settings tab (left second tab on list)
Step 4: In upper right of screen (window) there will be a list of system bundles that are missing. Microsoft Store will be an option. Install it.
Step 5: Open Windows settings and go to Apps tab, then Apps and features (very top) scroll down list your welcome Store is back
Edit: RESOLVED, but not solved (ie, don't know why this happened), but I found this article while searching and it was exactly my issue:
The true fix for missing Windows 11 Store App. - Microsoft Tech Community
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is an observation of a bug during a fresh install, not a request for support.
I've just completed a full fresh install of Win 11 Pro 2H22. Again, this was a fresh install, not an upgrade.
When I search installed apps, I can see that Microsoft Store is not present. When I search from the start menu, I can see that Microsoft Store is not present.
Weird, right?
One more thing I noticed was in the Get Started app, it presents some suggested apps to install and a link to do so by opening the Microsoft Store, but that also fails.
Now please, don't suggest that I simply run some Powershell command or go to the app settings and try to reset or repair the Microsoft Store, it's not possible. Those are not possible because the Microsoft Store is not installed.
I'm actually not here to see if anyone can necessarily help me, it's more of a PSA or word of caution.
I'm not sure why this is the case and I didn't make any election other than defaults during the installation process.
Did anyone else trying a Win 11 2H22 fresh install face this?
I’m running Windows 10 version 22H2
I genuinely don’t know what to do anymore. My Microsoft store is gone and I have tried nearly every solution online and none of them have worked. In my app settings microsoft store isn’t there, and when I try to open it through the windows search bar it’ll pop up but when you try to open the app nothing happens. Every method I’ve tried will end up giving me a notification that the app store is downloading but then it goes away without installing it back. I’ve tried the xbox app and it won’t download. I’ve tried troubleshooting and all it says is there’s apps not working. I’ve tried the Powershell commands and nothing works. If anyone can help me out in any way I would appreciate it a lot
Microsoft store app is not installed nor an app
I'm going to reinstall windows 11 in a store.. What things should I be wary of ?
I have a group of Windows 10 workstations that previously had the group policies "Disable All Apps from the Microsoft Store" and "Turn of the Store application."
Now because of reasons these machines need the Microsoft Camera app installed. After turning off the GPO's, I'm still unable to install either the Windows Store or the Camera app.
I've tried the following
running wsreset.exe
removing and re-installing all store apps with "Get-AppxPackage -allusers | foreach {Add-AppxPackage -register "$($_.InstallLocation)\appxmanifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode}"
Downloading and installing with the appxbundle for the camera app from MS Store for Business
Trying to reinstall the Windows Store with "Get-AppXPackage WindowsStore -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}"
Removing and re-adding the user profile
Short of reimaging the machine, does anyone know another way to reinstall the Windows Store.
MIS Aegis R (Costco version)
Windows 11 Home 23H2
OS Build 22631.3296
Ive had this PC for almost a year and I've never been able to access the Microsoft store. I've tried countless fixes, but it seems to just not exist on my PC. I'll do my best to give what info I can, but beings this has been a year long saga its not all fresh in my mind.
-Windows updates have done nothing to fix it
-Troubleshooter comes back blank
-It doesn't appear in windows search, only item is a link to search online
-Isn't in programs or apps.
-I've tried using windows+r to trigger it to open or install, came back file not found.
-No way to download it online
-Command prompt to install package doesn't acknowledge the input.
-I am logged in to a microsoft account.
Any help is appreciated
Back when my organization moved to Windows 10, someone in IT ran a PowerShell script to uninstall all the bundled Microsoft Store apps (Candy Crush, etc). The script was run as a local admin on all machines after initially installing Windows 10.
All was fine and good since everything is done on a remote session anyway.
Fast forward a couple years...
I have one machine from this time which has user data on the local machine rather than on the remote desktop (c-level manager) but I noticed that all of the seemingly built-in apps (Windows Calculator) are missing and traced it back to running this script. The problem is, the powershell script also uninstalls the Microsoft Store App and the user wants to install an app from there.
Short of re-imaging the machine, is there a way to reinstall the Microsoft Store app? The troubleshooters from MS TechNet don't seem to work for this situation.
This is the PowerShell script that was used to remove it and all of the store apps:
Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackage Get-AppXProvisionedPackage -online | Remove-AppxProvisionedPackage -online Get-AppXPackage | Remove-AppxPackage
Tl;dr: How does one install the Microsoft Store if it's been previously removed via PowerShell?
Running windows 11 arm 22621.2215 install and the microsoft store app has disappeared. Using windows key and entering "microsoft store" brings up a hit that when you click it runs a troubleshooter process that doesn't resolve issue. I've tried the following search results suggested solutions and none of them has worked.
run "Check for updates" and apply them if offered
Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /Restorehealth
WsReset.exe
Get-AppxPackage -allusers *WindowsStore* | Remove-AppxPackage followed by Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers Microsoft.WindowsStore* | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
download and install the xbox app and lauch it and wait for it to display prompt to install missing microsoft store app dependency which never happened on my setup
Any suggestions on another option that is known to work?

When was the last time it worked properly? What is your current Windows operating system and version? Press Windows key+R to open Run then type: winver
If you have a third-party VPN or Antivirus installed, please try to temporarily uninstall it then check if the issue persists.
Please let me know if you have tried the methods below.

Note:
A blank Command Prompt window will open, and after about ten seconds the window will close, and Microsoft Store will open automatically.
**Check the Microsoft Store Install Service
Press the Windows Key + S and type in services.msc.
Find the Microsoft Store Install Service and double click, If the status is Running, right click it then select Restart
If disabled, change it to Automatic, click Start and click OK.

Thanks, the Reset the Microsoft Store cache method helped.
I recently tried watching a video on my prime but the video didn't get played at first I thought the problem was with my prime so I uninstalled it but then I noticed the problem was with my store so I tried to reset and repair it,it didn't work and I can't install apps in my store I signed out and signed in, Reinstalled store through powershell, ran a scan and other shit I could find on YouTube but nothing fixed it,does someone know what to do?I even uninstalled my antivirus.
Hi, I'm Elise, a fellow user like yourself and I'd be happy to help with your issue.
Other users have had a similar issue to this, could you please try follow these steps to re-register the store app.
Could you open the powershell app as an administrator and copy in the following command and press enter
Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
Now reboot your PC and this should allow you to use the store app again.
If this doesn’t work the next stage I would suggest is a repair upgrade, you can find steps on how to do this here:

I had this problem as well for 6 months+ and it drove me nuts!
I ended up terminating my Xbox gold subscription as I couldn't install any Xbox games from the Microsoft store, but my kid forced me to get it fixed to play Minecraft, so 12 hours later ;-)
my solution was:
-Click start, type Powershell and run it as administrator
-Copy and paste each of the commands below and hit Enter
get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage –allusers
start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN
Reinstalling the store might also do the trick (that you can bing or google that separate).
Please MS, get this freaking thing FIXED so the store knows what wrong instead of just going into stupide mode and doing nothing!..
Hope it helps!
Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.
Have you tried the procedure below?
- Press "Windows + X" and select "Terminal (Admin)";
- Type or paste the following command and press Enter:
Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
Note if the command will run correctly or will have a red message.
- Restart the PC.
If you have already done this procedure or it doesn't help, let me know. Click on the "Reply" button below my reply.
Feel free to ask back any questions.
It failed to work, leaving only a red message
