Looks OK. I like that Ridgids use a nice tall filter compared to Shop Vac and some other models. For the money, not bad. That hose looks like junk. Honestly, I only ever use my shop vacs now with a cyclone debris interceptor and I'd suggest you do the same - it makes the filter a lot less maintenance and the suction performance remains constant for a very long time. For a little effort and some additional cost up front, you end up with a vacuum that is very little, easy maintenance. You using this indoors? In the garage? More on reddit.com

I recently bought 4 gallon rigid wet dry vac. It says on the instructions not to use the paper filter when vacuuming water, but a black mesh water filter instead. Do I have to use one of these? While you can get some hepa filters wet, I don't recommend it. Hepa filters really don't like water and the water minerals can clog the hepa filter then they take a long time to dry. I recommend buying one of the hepa filters and using it with the paper bags for dry vacuuming. When you are sucking up liquids remove the paper bag and hepa filter and just use the sponge filter. Clean and dry everything before switching back to dry vacuuming.
