PSA: Don't use Ryzen Master for memory overclocks
AMD Ryzen™ Master Utility Windows 11
How to overclock memory on ryzen master?
PSA: Do not use Ryzen Master to set Memory OC and Timings. If it screwed up your BIOs, reflash to fix.
Ryzen Master simply sets the memory timing settings within the AMD overclocking portion of the maze of settings. Your motherboard likely has its own section for memory timing settings, its own section for overclocking, it's own auto overclocking stuff, etc.
You just need to dig into the AMD overclocking settings section and reset the timings. Or turn off the the AMD overclocking entirely. The AMD overclocking stuff overrides the other settings on the board.

Just a friendly reminder from someone who just spent a day trying to fix their bricked PC. Ryzen Master is probably the worst way to do a memory overclock. Bricking has happened to others before and it's still happening:

As you know, most mobo BIOSes have a feature that falls back to best last know config on errors. What Ryzen Master seems to do is leave a config file that overrides the mobo BIOS, completely ignoring the mobo's fallback feature and rendering a PC bricked on a bad OC. The only thing that fixed it was flashing a new BIOS using the MSI USB flashback port and button. If I didn't have that feature, I'd be RMAing my board right now.
I consider myself lucky... You might not be!
Anyone know when AMD Ryzen™ Master Utility will get certified for Windows 11 and we will not need to use the reg hack to get it to work?
(I personally do not like leaving that vulnerability open)
Long story short, if you set a memory oc and adjust timings in Ryzen Master, it will override your BIOs settings and for some reason can't be undone. I just spoke to another user who it happened to.
Once you use Ryzen Master to set memory settings, you're pretty much stuck with it. If you notice that you can no longer set memory settings in your BIOs, a quick fix would be to reflash your BIOs to the last update you were using.
Can someone explain to me how this could have happened?
I set memory clocks in Ryzen Master to 3800 Mhz just to test it out
Very lengthy post of what I tried to do exactly that didn't remedy the issue: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/chytg3/psa_do_not_use_ryzen_master_to_set_memory_oc_and/ev1pm1c
-
Computer booted, memory fabrics weren't 1:1 so I decided to set everything to Auto and go back to my original settings
-
My memory in my BIOs reported 3800 Mhz... This was weird, why is Ryzen Master affecting what my BIOs is reporting. I clear the CMOS.
-
My memory defaults to DOCP settings. I decide to manually set my clocks and timings back to what they originally were. Rebooted.
-
Memory clocks are back to what Ryzen Master had set them too! 3800 Mhz, CL 16!
-
Rebooted, tried to uninstall Ryzen Master, reinstall it, set things to default, nothing was working. 3800 Mhz remained in my bios! Even clearing the CMOS did nothing.
-
A u/Fbach recommended I reflash my BIOs to fix the issue. I reflashed my BIOs and was finally able to set my RAM timings again without them going back to what Ryzen Master reported.
How was Ryzen Master able to set my ram timings inside my BIOs? How did it continue to override what I applied in my BIOs manually?
Shout out to u/Fbach for the solution.

I used ryzen master. 1 format later... It orbitally nuked everything, i couldn't even reach bios. that was the 1st night i owned 3600. All in all, i actually managed to reach a healthy state again, after countless cmos resets, restarts and a few mantears.
I am happy to report that ryzen master has no place in my Windows, like ever again. Bios tweaking is enough. If u fuck up, it just will return to a prior known state, with ryzen master, you will probably need to nuke your bios along with yourself.
Hi LilCalico, This is Ramesh.
AMDRyzenMasterDriver.sys is part of the AMD Ryzen Master utility which is used for overclocking the CPU. The Memory integrity feature in Windows is blocking the vulnerable driver from loading, hence the error message.
You can uninstall the AMD Ryzen Master utility via Settings → Apps and Features.
If you need it later to overclock the CPU, you can download the latest version from the AMD site.

However, some users suggest not to use the overclocking tool, especially on laptops. Please see this thread at the AMD site.

Hi Ramesh,
I'm getting the same error but I don't have AMD Ryzen Master utility installed so there is nothing to install. Any other suggestions for fixing this error?
