Galaxy Watch 5 is the worst smart watch I've ever owned
While I love all the features Galaxy Watch4 has to offer me, it's clear that Samsung developers don't use the devices they created. The amount of performance issues (like Spotify stuttering while on exercises) is something that I don't even bother to report to Samsung. It takes minutes of use to figure out how much half-baked these watches are, software-side. Ain't nothing like an Apple Watch or a Garmin. The cool about Galaxy Watch is the ability to measure blood pressure, plus the bioimpedance. More on reddit.com

I kept my GW 3 silver LTE to use as a dress watch and to use when charging my 5 pro. The 5 pro is definitely better but the 3 is such a beautiful watch with respectable battery life. It was their best version and final Tizen model. The 5 pro is definitely a beast, but for my needs....it's just marginally better and that's why I kept the 3 instead of trading it in. The 5 Pro is also an ugly and bulky watch and I really miss the rotating bezel. So....no complaints about the 5 watch performance, but it's an ugly and bulky smart watch to me. Hoping the 6 will have the rotating bezel and be a bit more sleek. Sure you can get add on fake rotating dials with numbers etc...but to me it's just putting lipstick on a pig. More on reddit.com

Hello all, I just recently switched from Apple to Android and I am looking for a watch that works with my Pixel. I don't love the look of the Pixel Watch.
I think the Samsung line-up look the best, and in my brief research the Watch 5 Pro seems to have been a great device. I have found it on eBay for around $120, or I could trade the Apple Watch in with Samsung and get the new Ultra for $350ish.
Is the Ultra worth three times the price of the "refurbished" 5 Pro?

Just switched back to Android and almost bought a used 5 pro, but ended up going with a new watch 7 44mm. The battery life is more than enough for me, and it's so much sleeker and lighter.

Sorry for a rant but 12 miles into a half marathon today, it's decided to die on me and shut down.
Last summer I went from an Apple Watch S3 to this (had to make the switch as I'd moved across to a Z Flip 4). I've had a variety of experiences over the years (Microsoft Band v1, TomTom Runner, Apple Watch S3) and this Samsung is comfortably the worst of the lot.
I daren't use it for pool swimming given the horror stories on here and elsewhere about the water resistance eventually failing. Had to buy an additional old Garmin Swim off eBay as a compromise.
Although YouTube music seems to sync more speedily and reliably than the Apple watch ever did, getting it re-connected to existing paired headphones is an absolute chew on every time, and pot luck as to whether it'll work and stay connected (I lost music after 8 miles today and then it started playing out of the watch).
The Google Maps functionality in major cities (such as London) for walking and cycling is hopeless in comparison to the Apple equivalent.
Google Pay doesn't reliably work on the tube
Whether a Samsung Health or watch specific problem, it seems to unlink itself from Strava on a fortnightly basis.
Is there any point persisting with it or should I bin it off and find a Garmin equivalent? Anyone else had more luck than I?

Well, i have gw4 44mm. Swam with it regullarily without any issues. Recorded 8 hours hike with SHealth and had 10% of battery in the end. Google Maps was ok when I use it, but cannot compare with aw.
