I swore off horror movies a while ago because I’d always get way too scared and not go to sleep. I feel like I’m missing out, and I want to dip my toes in and see if anything’s changed. Can y’all recommend any Diet horror movies that I can watch? Something scary but not one that will probably keep me up at night. Thanks!
My partner and I both enjoy suspenseful films/series but also struggle with anxiety so it’s a delicate balance finding the ~right~ amount of suspense lol.
Any suggestions for suspenseful options that don’t have jump scares or anything that will haunt us at bedtime?
Open to suggestions for other genres too :)
Some films/shows we’ve liked:
The Stranger
Behind Her Eyes
YOU
Where the Crawdad’s Sing
I Am Mother
Clickbait
Fractured

Drop your requests down below I am searching for a terrifying movie to scare me and make me feel like a little kid who is scared for his life again. I ve been searching and watching lots of horror movies lately and I just can’t find the right one.
So we are having a sleepover and we need the scariest movie in Netflix. We have watched Incantation. It was the scariest movie I have ever seen. We also like creep and other psychological movies. We don't really like series or slashers. We like found footage, but cam doesn't seem interesting. What about Talk to me or His house. Have heard a mixed opinions from those.
What are the best horror movies on Netflix currently? They don’t have to be Netflix original just good. For context some of my favorite horror films are Hereditary, Creep, The Babadook, The Sadness, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and the original Speak No Evil.
Has anyone seen any Good scary movies on Netflix? Any recent ? Wondering if there is anything good I haven’t seen. I also like suspenseful movies of anyone has any good suggestions on those.
I've come to love the films in the conjuring series (all of them) and I fell in love with "The Haunting Of" series so far.
Are there any horror films which you would recommend that are not bloody or gory?
Wife and I finally got out from under a rock and have Netflix in our lives now. Still love Tubi but with Netflix at the helm please recommend some must see. Enjoy all kinds...slasher, paranormal, classics, obscure, modern.
I will peruse other's posts and lists but you never know who will see this post to recommend stuff too.
Will be stoked to finally finish Breaking Bad, see Castlevania, and check out Cobra Kai although not horror related.
Apologies if there have been too many "recommend me" posts but I appreciate it.
I am not using this subscription nearly enough, lol. What flixks should I be watching? I know there's a bunch of great shows, but I'm set for TV at the moment.
What is the best horror movie on all of Netflix? (I don't seem to find any of them scary)
I need some good horror movies. I watched Creep after seeing it recommended here a lot, but I found it an annoying bore. What are some good horror films that don’t rely on jump scares?
Edit:I live in the US.
Hi all,
Sorry if this has been asked. I'm looking for "scary movies that aren't too scary" to watch with my wife tonight. Basically, horror/thrillers that don't have too many big 'jump' moments, or truly horrific scenes. Non night-mare inducing would be another way to put it.
A couple I've seen that I thought of are Let the Right One In and Cabin in the Woods, but I'd rather watch something I haven't seen. Any suggestions?
Yeah I know. My wife can’t handle horror or gore or generally “scary” movies at all. She can watch stuff like Lost Boys and The Shining, but that’s it. I’m trying to watch some atmospheric stuff with her this fall but I’m at a loss. She watched the first 2/3 of House Of The Devil last year, but had to stop once things actually got going. Any recommendations for movies with that vibe?
A horror/spooky movies or series you'd give a 10/10
I love scary, ghost movies , especially international horror movies or movies that bring in cultural or religious aspect as it makes it more believable.eg: Exorcism of Emily Rose
Mostly don't prefer gore because a lot of movies put it even when it's not required.
I'm curious to know your list, the one that sent chills down your spine or gave you chicken skin.
My list:
Exorcism of Emily rose, Ring, Grudge, The Descent, Bhoothkalam, Grave Encounters.
In a hotel for a few days and the only TV option is netflix (we’re getting out and having adventures also but will also have a lot of downtime for various reasons). What are the best horror movies available to stream there right now? Bonus points if there's no obvious social commentary/class warfare/clear allegories to racism, homophobia etc.. Usually a fan of that but honestly at this point I need a break. Looking for a horror movie to be a relaxing break from the horror of real life.
