r/AnyDesk on Reddit: Anydesk remote session closing after about 1-2 minutes on its own, when I connect via unattended access, but it works OK and is stable when the local user clicks "accept" to accept my remote connection
June 8, 2020 -

Hello,

Just like the title says, I have an issue with Anydesk, on an older PC (Core2Duo, 3GB RAM, 32-bit version of Windows 10, if that makes a difference):

I have set up a password for that machine, and I can connect to it remotely via another PC, or via my Android phone. But, whatever device I am using to connect to this PC, the result is the same: After 1-2 minutes, the connection is closed, and I cannot immediately connect to it (After another minute or so of trying, it will let me back in, then I will be able to work for another 1-2 minutes, then it will kick me out again, etc, etc, etc). Note: In case you are wondering if maybe there is some "inactivity timer" that gets triggered, there is no inactivity, I am using the machine, so it is not like I am kicked out because the machine goes to sleep or something like that.

What is strange to me, is that if a local user is sitting in front of this PC, and I try to log into it remotely, but WITHOUT using a password, then everything works perfectly: I try to log into this machine, the local user accepts my request by pressing the "accept" button (or whatever it's called), and then I have a stable connection that never gets dropped.

Any ideas on what could be wrong here?

Thank you,
