I've been watching YouTube videos instructing me on how to paint my walls, and this information seems to be important in helping me to determine approximately how much paint to buy.
The surface area needing to be covered is roughly 270 sq ft. It appears that one gallon should be sufficient but, I would like a second opinion before I ask any employees I may encounter, and before I purchase any paint.
Also, would you recommend that I use a primer for this paint, and if so, which primer would you recommend? Oil-based, water-based, latex-based, or shellac? The paint is extremely light blue, appears to be well taken care of, seemingly has no odor, shows no discoloration but, I, unfortunately, have no idea what primer was previously used in that paint job.

Should I pay more for the emerald? What is the benefit? My house has direct sun on stucco in afternoon and evening. Coving basically the same color. Contractor is not pushing emerald but my other quotes have been too end paints.

planning to live there for awhile? emerald is certainly worth it. the majority of the cost of a paint job is labor so might as well go with the best you can get. will last longer too which will delay having to pay to repaint
