I am new to painting and am going to be painting pretty much every room. I bought a really nice spray painted - other than that any help or suggestions you wouldn't mind sharing would be great.
SW emerald is $80/gallon but will be 40% on Friday. Is the paint worth the high cost? I don't mind paying for quality.
The paint I would like to find would be the most durable, most cleanable and easiest to put on (multi dog home) and newbie painter. If the two durability and cleaning are first.
Please help, I have been avoiding doing this for 2 years, but I cannot stand to look at these beige walls any longer
If you have any videos to share that will help, that would be great
Thanks a million
I recently bought my first home and will be painting the majority of the walls over the next couple of months. I’ve lived in various apartments up to this point and could definitely notice which ones used cheap paint vs nice paint in terms of durability and ease of cleaning it. I want to use pretty much the highest quality paint possible and do not mind paying a bit extra as I’m sure the added longevity and durability will make up for it in the long run. I’ve been recommended the Emerald line of paint by Sherman Williams by a few people and was wondering if this is worth the cost and if it is one of the best options. Any insight or other recommendations is welcome!
Long story short, I bought very cheap paint one time that made my life living hell (advised from a family friend) and I’m still working to repaint the house after that…. So after that, I started buying ONLY SW Emerald, and I’ve been obsessed ever since. No dripping, to me, applies easily, looks beautiful, and dries wonderful.
I’m wondering - would I get similar results out of other lines of SW? I was traumatized by the cheap paint that I’m too scared to buy the other lines lol, but I hear good things about them. I specifically like how it’s very little to none dripping / splatter.
And does anyone know how Benjamin Moore paints compared to SW?
