Shopify API access scopes
To request access scopes or permissions for the Headless or Hydrogen channel, refer to managing permissions. You can request the following customer access scopes: You can check your app's granted access scopes using the appInstallation query in the GraphQL Admin API. Apps should request only the minimum amount of data that's necessary for an app to function when using a Shopify API.

Team Access
Have worked for 100+ Shopify stores, and have never once needed full access. They’re doing something sketchy if they keep insisting on full access, and won’t specify permissions. Either sketchy, or they have zero clue what they’re doing. More on reddit.com

Managing Access scopes for Shopify Apps | by Shashank Kumar | Medium
May 12, 2021 - While it’s easy to set things up for new installs, existing installed stores haven’t given you this permission, and adding a feature to create discount codes in your app would not work with them. So first thing first: We would need to know which store has which permissions. So instead of hardcoding your permissions and assuming everyone has the same permissions, maintain a list of scopes along with store details. At PushOwl, we store this data in a website table. website:- shopify_plan (str) - scopes (str) # comma separated list of scopes - status (enum: installed | uninstalled)
